美国人最常用的打招呼方式就是：What's up ? 虽然它字面意思是“怎么了”，但实际上它就是一句正常的问候，有点相当于“hello”，不需要回答。或者说我们直接用“What's up”作答就好。

E.g.

Adrian：Hey, Echo, what's up ?

Echo: hey, bro. what's up ?

如果外国朋友见面问你，What's up？，你要是和他一五一十汇报你近期的状况，那就傻死了。大家记住，“What's up?”只是一句问候语，不需要做实际性的回答。如果非要回答的话，可以直接说：What's up?

讲到问候，除了“What‘s up?",我们还可以说What's new ?What have you been up to ?How's it going? How's everything? How are you doing?=How you doing?等

1. What's new ?

如果朋友们之间好久没见面了，可以说“What's new？“，表示对彼此近况的关心。有点相当于询问“你生活中最近有没有新鲜事发生？”

Echo：Hey, Yanjie, what's new ?

Echo：彦洁，最近在干啥呢？

Lizzy：Nothing much. I'm just busy with my thesis.

Lizzy：没干啥，一直在苦逼地写论文。

2. What have you been up to ?

=What you been up to?

=What have you been doing ?

最近在忙什么？

Echo：Xiaoxiao, what have you been up to ?

Echo：晓晓，最近在忙什么？

Xiaoxiao：I went to Chongqing with my dad. It's a great journey cuz I saw so many friends that I have never met. And they treated me quite well.

晓晓：我和我爸爸去了一趟重庆，这真是超级棒的旅途。因为我见了很多素未谋面的平台的朋友们，他们都热情款待了我。

Echo：Wow，that's so sweet. Wish I were there.

Echo：好棒！真希望我也在那里。

当然，How are you?也是可以用的。如果第一次见面，也可以用“how do you do”,但是现在用得少了。
