    迷迷糊糊中，班主任走进了教室：“同学们，告诉大家一个好消息。可能大家都听说了，咱们省刚出台了规范办学的规定，上级领导即将对我校的规范办学成果进行检查验收。幸好由于环境污染，人类对地球的干预等多种原因，地球自转和公转的周期在今天发生了变化，这样我们一天就有了25个小时，一周有了八天。这样我们每天就可以增加一个小时休息时间，一周就有了一天休息时间。”

    同学们一阵欢呼，是真的吗？讲台上的人突然变成了白发苍苍的上帝，虽然我以前没见过上帝，但我确定是上帝来救我们来了。

    One sort of crime which particularly worries people is juvenile delinquency-that is, crimes committed by young people. There are two main types of juvenile crimes:stealing and violence. Most people do not understand why young people commit these crimes. They tend to put all the blame on the children. In fact, there are a large number of different reasons.

   These crimes are not usually committed by people who are poor or in need. Young people often dislike and hate the adult world. They will do things to show that they are rebels. Also in Britain today it is easier for young people to commit crimes because they have more freedom to go where they want and have more money to do what they want.

   There are two other possible causes which are worth mentioning. More and more people in Britain live in large towns.In a large town, no one knows who anyone else is or where they live. They may have been next-door neighbors for years, but have never spoken to one another. When a stranger appears in the neighborhood, nobody takes any notice. But in the village, crimes are rare because everybody knows evreyone else.

    Although it is difficult to explain, the last cause is very important. Perhaps there is something in society which encourages violence and crime. It is a fact that children are exposed to films and reports about crime and violence all the time. Many people do not agree that this influences the young people, but young people are very much influenced by the society they grow up in. The fault may be as much with the whole society as with these young people.

       In America the first successful newspaper was the Boston News Letter, begun by postmaster John Campbell in 1704. Although it was heavily subsidized by the colonial government, the experiment was a near-failure, with very limited circulation. Two more papers made their appearance in the 1720's, in Philadelphia and New York. By the eve of the Revolutionary War, some two dozen papers were issued in all of the colonies, although Massachusetts,New York, and Pennsylvania would remain the centers of American printing for many years. Articles in colonial papers, brilliantly conceived by revolutionary propagandists, were a major force that imfluenced public opinion in America from reconciliation with england to full political independence.

   At the war's end in 1783, there were forth-three newspaper in print. The press played a vital role in the affairs of the new nation; many more newspapers were started, representing all shades of political opinion. The ratification of the Bill of Rights in 1791 at last guaranteed the freedom of the press, and America's newspapers began to take on a central role in national affairs. In the 1830s,advaces in printing and papermaking technology led to an explosion of newspaper growth; the emergence of the Penny Press made it possible ot produce a newspaper that could be sold for just a cent a copy. Previously,newspapers were the province of the wealthy, literate minority. The price of a year's subscription, usually over a full week's pay for a laborer, had to be paid in full and 'invariably in advance'. This sudden availability of cheap, interesting reading material was a significant stimulus to the achievement of the nearly universal literacy now taken for granted in America.

    Cold weather has a great effect on how our minds and bodies work. Maybe that is why there are so many expression_r_r that use the word cold.

      For centuries, the body's blood has been linked closely with emotions. People who show no human emotions or feelings are said to be 'cold-blooded'.Cold can affect other parts of the body, too, the feet, for example,Heavy socks can warm your feet, if your feet are really cold. Yet there is an expression_r_r 'to get cold feet',that has nothing to do with cold or with your feet. The expression_r_r means being afraid to do something you had decided to do.

Cold can also affect your shoulder. You give someone the'cold shoulder' when you refuse to speak to them. You treat them in a distant, cold way. The expression_r_r probably comes from the physical act of turning your back toward someone instead of speaking to him face to face.

    A 'cold fish' is not a fish. It is a person. But it is a person who is unfriendly, unemotional and shows no love or warmth. A cold fish does not offer much of himself to anyone.

    'Out in the cold' is an expression_r_r often heard. It means not getting something that everybody else got. A person might say that everybody but him got a pay raise, and that he was left out in the cold. It is not a pleasant place to be.

   The knowledge of nonverbal communication helps a manager understand the behavior of others and thus manage his workforce effectively.It is also a useful and powerful tool for handling serious and sensitive situations tactfully. Nonverbal behavior is more reliable than verbal expression_r_r since it is the language of the subconscious and is therefore difficult to manipulate .

    Experienced managers are alert to notice harmony or dissent in gestures. A group of workers once came to ask me for a facility which I knew was going to be misused . All of them were unanimous in pressing for it. When I observed them closely, however, I found that their leader had been sharing his gestures only with a handful of people; the rest were displaying a different set of gestures a clear indication that the leader was forcing his decision on an unwilling majority.

    During a meeting or presentation ,you know that you are being listened to intently if the listener is keeping his left hand over the right one, with his palms down. However ,if the right hand covers the left one, the person is probably disagreeing with what is being said and is waiting for an opportunity to interrupt. During my training programs ,I often ask questions from uninterested participants to keep them alert and attentive. They tend to sit with crossed legs and arms showing their mental withdrawal or resistance to what is being said.     Rubbing behind the ear or touching the nose gently with the index finger shows dislike, doubt, uncertainty or the inability to avoid or answer a question. By nodding his head, the listener conveys that he is listening and encourages the speaker to go on. Rapid nods of the head, or a gentle,rhythmic tapping of the head or stomach may mean that the listener wants the speaker to finish quickly.

         对规范办学的一些感想

    教育部长换了，河南省也规范办学了！

    从今天开始我们学校由原来的六点开始早自习改为七点十分早读！晚上由两节课加为三节课。根据河南省规范办学的要求，小学生在校时间为6小时，初中生为7小时，高中生为不超过8小时。

    我们学校的上课时间上午6节课，下午4节课，晚上3节课，只是比上级规定的8小时多半小时，不过是上课时间。在校时间从七点十分到晚上九点半为十四小时，除去午饭和晚饭时间的两个小时，为十二小时，比上级规定仅多了4小时，也只是多了50%，比原来减少了在校时间一个小时，真是巨大的进步。

    希望河南省教育部门能够把规范办学落到实处。不要再象过去那样上有政策，下有对策。真正做到让学生快快乐乐学习，健健康康成长。

    希望我们为学生创造良好的学习环境和学习氛围，使学生对学校的认识有所改观不再厌学。学校应该首先是学生长身体的地方，健康的体质是学好习的前提，人生最重要也是健康的身体，如果没有身体的前提，一切都是乌有！

    我们学生的身体素质到了非改观不可的程度：温总理在北京某中学听课照片上几乎都带着眼镜；H1N1在学校免疫力低下的学生中传染最快。

    教育部长免了，河南对规范办学也出台了大量的规定。希望这一次是动真格的！
