It is really an exciting experience to attend the ACM Sensys 2009
which is THE premier conference in the wireless sensor network
(WSN) community. As a PhD student dedicated to the research in the
fields of wireless sensor networks and distributed systems.
Attending Sensys, without any doubt, is crucial. Essentially,
Sensys provides me an precious opportunity to stand among those
giants in the WSN area and to learn from those world-top-level
ideas.
In this year’s Sensys, I hold two duties. First, I presented the
paper “Achieving Range free Localization Beyond Connectivity” as
the last talk in the conference. I am also one of the major
contributors for the poster “Energy Profiling for mPlatform”.
Throughout the process of preparing the camera-ready version of the
paper according to feedbacks from reviewers and the paper shepherd,
organizing slides for presentation, answering after-talk questions,
and introducing poster materials, I have obtained a deeper
