第一节   阅读理解（共15小题，每小题2分，满30分 ）

         阅读下列短文，以每题所给的A、B、C和D项中，选出最佳选项。

（二） 试题形式特征

          本题采用常规阅读理解选择题形式。共三篇短文，每篇长度在300词到400词之间。每篇下设5道选择题，每小题4个选项。

试卷题型结构

          08广东英语卷与07年高考卷保持了相同的题型结构：共四大题，62小题。其中客观题90分，占60%；主观题60分，占40%。试卷内容，题量，计分和时间安排如下：

    The City of Lewisville will present the popular Western Day Festival on Saturday, Sept. 1, in Old Town Lewisville. Planned activities, designed to show Lewisville’s rich history, include a Main Street parade, two festival stages of live music, arts and crafts (手工艺品) sellers, a car show, a longhorn cattle drive, the annual Labor Day Rodeo (牛仔竞技表演) and the third annual World Tamale Eating Championship.
