中国雅思考生一贯的“哑巴”英语，成为了雅思考试低分的致命因素。根据雅思官方网站显示，中国考生的雅思成绩平均分为5.53分，排在全球倒数第二。而中国考生听、说、读、写的单项平均分分别为5.47、5.39、5.80、5.23，说和写的均分全球倒数第一。2011年，中国考生雅思口语的均分更是降低到5.36，蝉联全球倒数第一！
上周日，新东方“2011中国雅思年会——英联邦国家留学规划及雅思考试深度分析”在渝举行。重庆新东方学校英联邦考试部主任刘君分析说，中国学生在进行留学准备时，考试问题成了最为关键的因素。
