2004年获复旦大学英语语言文学博士学位。
主要著作包括《国际商务英语用法词典》（清华大学出版社，1999）、《雅思考试学术类高分作文详解》（复旦大学出版社，2003）、《雅思考试核心词汇突破》（复旦大学出版社，2003）、《综合英语教程》（2-4册写作部分）（上海外语教育出版社2004）、《衔接、语篇组织与连贯》（博士论文）（苏州大学出版社，2004）、《英语专业八级考试模拟与解析》（写作部分）（上海交通大学出版社，2007）；《80天攻克雅思》系统丛书编委。
参与编写的教材还包括《国际商务英语教程》（南京大学出版社，1995）、《国际商务英语口语》（苏州大学出版社，2000）、《国际商务英语阅读》（苏州大学出版社，2000）、《高考英语完形填空习题集》（清华大学出版社，1996）。
目前正编写《新托福高分作文详解》、《新托福作文无师自通》等托福应试系列丛书。
2000-2003年上海新东方雅思写作首席主讲、BEC商务英语全程主讲；2006-2007太奇MBA考研英语阅读、翻译及写作主讲。
目前的教学涉及普通语言学、话语分析、英语写作、技术写作（TechnicalWriting)、雅思作文、托福作文、MBA商务英语等。
