Federer: "It was a huge occasion for me, huge pressure. Bjorn Borg sitting there, Jimmy Connors sitting there, John McEnroe sitting there, Boris Becker sitting there. You know, for me it's a big moment for me. Then in the end, to lift the trophy, it's a very, yeah, special memory. I'll have it for all my life."

"From the baseline he was not outplaying me, but I always thought he had the upper hand for some reason and I couldn't really play that aggressive like I wanted to, maybe like last year. But my serve kept me in, and I definitely won the big points today, which was most important."

On meeting Borg post match: "It was very special. Gave each other a Swedish hug. It was very nice because I think we like each other very much, from far away sort of to speak. So to see him after the match it was very fitting in my point of view."

On his rivalry with Nadal: "I win my share. He wins his. It's a good rivalry, I think. We've been at the top for over a hundred weeks together. It is like building up to one of maybe the great rivalries. Sometimes haven't lived up to the expectations in the past, in our matches in majors especially. I think maybe that was maybe a bit of a problem. But you can't always play five-set thrillers. I'm happy it happened today. I left as the winner. Was perfect."

On Nadal: "He's playing phenomenal tennis. He's definitely improved yet again I think. He had more of a game plan this year than he had last year. I think last year he came out, nothing to lose, kind of hit hard but didn't know why. This year around, he's changed his game a little bit. Plays maybe a bit more aggressive, knows the game of grass much better. That's why I think he's not only just a good clay courter, he's a good all-around player."

Nadal: "I play great tournament, no? I play very good level, playing against one of the best of the history on this surface, having two chances for a win I'm playing at a similar level.

"I can say nothing bad about my tournament. Well, today was a little bit disappointing because I have good chances. But happy, tomorrow I will be happy about my tournament and about my game."

On his knee: "Well, was not the best moment, no, because I was playing fine in the fourth for a while and I have to call to the trainer. But doesn't matter, no? Just right now is better, so doesn't matter. Don't worry about the knee."

仅从现在的成绩来看，纳达尔3连冠，费德勒4连冠，即将迈向5连冠。

那么，当两个人退役的时候，纳达尔有几个法网，费德勒有几个温网呢？

有一个朋友说纳达尔法网8连冠，法网外8个大满贯。这个数字有点太夸张了，除非费德勒就此不打了，其他的年轻人也难以形成气候，纳达尔

才有这样的统治力。实际上，现实一点，纳达尔的法网估计会在5-6个左右，法网之外的大满贯，费德勒继续猛3年，其他年轻人继续和纳达尔

死磕，纳达尔法网之外能拿一个算一个了。

那么费德勒退役的时候会有几个温网呢？5、6、7，问题是什么时候超越桑哥的7个，问题不大，似乎比纳达尔法网5-6个机会和统治力更大，因为在草地之上，费德勒就是神，几乎接近0缺点。 

费德勒如果未来的几年丢掉温网，只会是一个原因：费德勒自己，比如说伤病，比如说像法网决赛一样突然短路，比如对某人的心理阴影，但是这些可能性太小了。费德勒连续30个大满贯满勤，除了05年上海大师杯之前有脚伤之外，这几年几乎没有任何伤病。

回到正题，纳达尔今天能拿几盘？

现实一点，草地上，拿一盘算一盘，比去年有进步就不错，如果某人短路，你就不要客气了，但是可能性不大。

纳达尔今年有什么进步吗？底线更稳了，正手更暴了，切削过渡更多了，更积极进攻了，牛对豆子似乎很少有像汉堡那样的暴力，其实这场也说明不了什么问题，0-6之前的那一盘头两局很紧，后来太累了，干脆在法网之前卸下这个包袱。

其实本人更喜欢06上海大师杯那场半决赛，虽然只打了两盘，豆子输了，每一局都保的很艰难，被牛破发了3次，自己只破了牛一次，但是室内硬地没有风，没有不规则的弹跳，完全是拼技术，拼能力,很多人为牛加油,豆子的压力很大,输了，输的不丢人.

豆子的稳定性方面还要像牛学很多，假如豆子在法网之外也能像红土一样的稳定，更加恐怖，千万别说豆子打不好硬地，打不好草地，看结果。05年蒙特利尔、05年马德里堪称佳作，还有伟大的05年中网冠军。  06年温网之后豆子为什么一个冠军都拿不到，主要还是伤，屁股的伤，手指的伤，或许还有不自信的原因。07年有什么不一样吗？那就证明给大家看吧。

2000年、2001年、2002年、2003年这个世界最主要的球迷是桑哥阿叔、萨芬、一休哥休伊特、罗迪克、费雷罗的球迷，费德勒的球迷不是很多，

2004年、2005年、2006年和2007年，这个世界上几乎只剩有费德勒的球迷，费德勒在赞助商的眼睛里已经可以和老虎伍兹、亨利、科比这样级别的体育明星放到一起了，三个连续劳伦斯冠军史上第一。

The Swiss world number one, who takes on arch-rival Rafael Nadal for the second year in a row, confessed that he has not played as well as in previous tournaments.

"Last year I played incredibly well all the way through, didn't drop a set, and had an incredibly tough draw," he said.

"It's similar this year. I played well. But maybe I was less dominating than I was last year. But I'm still feeling good.

I've put myself in with the opportunity to win this tournament again."

Federer paid tribute to Nadal, who has battled his way through despite being on court nearly every day thanks to bad weather and two five-set matches.

"[Nadal] had a couple of scares here. He could have lost two matches. But he came through. So in the end it looks like he played incredibly again.

"I don't know if he's playing better. The draw's been different for him. But he's tough as always, consistent. He totally deserves to be back in the final."

The Spaniard currently has the edge in the pair's ongoing rivalry, having last month beaten Federer in the French Open final.

Federer is a strong favourite to turn the tide on Centre Court, but played down the differences between the clay of Paris and the grass of south-west London.

"I'm very excited. I think it's an incredible moment for me, especially also playing Nadal in the final. I think it's very fitting. Now I'm just hoping for one more good match.

"It always feels pretty similar when you meet each other again. It's like the French Open, when we met again in the finals. You get a same feeling."

Meanwhile Nadal was under no illusions about the magnitude of the task ahead, as he takes on a player considered by many to be untouchable on grass.

"He has all the shots and controls the speed of the ball," said the world number two.

"There are many things I have to improve on for Sunday, like my slice and volley. But I am just 21 years old. A lot of things

have changed in the last year."
