put those 2 together. 'In the Valley of Elah' discusses how
values got destroyed by war, while 'Gone Baby Gone' is trying to
challenge the concept of 'absolute goodness and evil'.
'You
are sheep among wolves. Be wise as serpents, yet innocent as
doves.-- That's how you could get to heaven, and still protect
yourself from all the evil in the world.' Funny thing
is,neither the holy detective in GBG, nor the psycho GI in
VoE, is gonna go to heaven any way. There is no innocent people,
cos one 'good' for you, could be a crime to anyone
else. Who dare to claim that he/she knows every
'right' choice? The best we can do is to 'look out of our own
window', and try to find some peace from yoga, or blue
movies.
