船体布局
The ship as a whole can be considered as a watertight(水密的) hollow structure. Along its length it can be divided into several parts. The portion of a hull(船体) forward 0.25L from forward peak is termed as fore body. The area after the aft(船尾) peak bulkhead(防水隔板) as aft body and over 0.4 length of ship in the middle as amidships, other areas are transitional(过度) regions. Whereas the cross section of a ship can be divided in to bottom structure, side structure and deck structure. Each of them will be discussed in detail in later chapters.
