Today, I awaken to find that they have
gone--over 10,000 people till now in the earthquake with 7.8
magnitudes in May 12.
I was in a class when the floor began shaking. I didn't take it
seriously till someone shouted out” earthquake' and everyone
swarmed out of the classroom. All I could remember was dizziness,
Prof. Du, and panic mob. It was my first time to experience
aftershock. Even though I was not in quake-stricken area, the
moment brought me to the intersection of life and death. For these
days I was seized by insomnia and grieve over the news. Yesterday I
was close to tears watching Premier Wen standing alongside the
rescue team in debris. Thousands of pictures popped up, recording
the silent dead lying in line on the ground, the struggling hands
half buried in the rubble as well as new-born babies in sweet
dreams.
