Dear Ms Achterhof
It is my honor to write to you. I am
writing to make some further inquiries on the MSF program at Owen
of Vanderbilt.
I am now a senior in Beijing University of
Aeronautics and Astronautics and a candidate for Bachelor of Arts
in International Finance. I have read through the content on the
website of Owen for information on MSF program. As I have already
taken TOEFL and GRE, I am wondering if the score on GRE can be a
substitute for the GMAT?
Based on self-assessment, I think I am
qualified to apply to the MSF at Owen and could be competitive
among applicants.Thank you for reading. Looking forward to your
reply.
Best Regards!
Chen Xu
Dear Madam or Sir
It is my honor for me to write to you. I
am writing to make some further inquiries on the MPhil in Finance
program at Cambridge.
I am now a senior in Beijing University of
Aeronautics and Astronautics as a candidate for Bachelor of Arts in
International Finance. Based on the descriptions on the website, I
think I am qualified to apply to MPhil in Finance. But one of the
entry requirements is not clearly understood. I am referring to the
statement of 'a very high standard in a degree course '. Would you
please offer me more explanations to this requirement?
Thank you for reading! Looking forward to
your reply.
Best Regards!

UCSB stands top on my list of interest.
Three-year studies in finance
have already endowed me with strong economic reasoning and
quantitive skills. By now I have already taken TOEFL and GRE and
have begun the process of searching and comparing different
programs. The unique features of M.S. in M.A. in Global &
International Studies appeal to me in a significant fashion.

The University of California at Santa Barbara offers a unique MA
program in Global & International studies. The program is
liberal arts intended but I think students like me who are well
trained in quantitive skills and deeply ingrained with social
scientific reasoning can be competitive in applying to such
programs.

University of British Columbia is the first non-American
university I am considering. Located in Vancouver, the university
boasts a good reputation in academics and a convenient climate.
Saunder School of Business in UBC offers various MS programs
ranging from finance to management information system. The MSF
program would be perfect for me as there are abundant financial
aids initiated by the school for both Canadian and International
Students.
