  “传说在古时候，某地住着一赵姓农民，家中夫妇俩和3个儿子生活贫苦。赵老汉外出谋生，每隔两三年才能回来看看。孩子渐渐大了，便把地分为三段，每人一块，都以种茶树为主。一年，赵老汉带回一捆花树苗，说是南方人喜欢的香花，不知道叫什么名儿，便栽在了大儿子的田边上。

　　隔了一年，树上开出了朵朵小白花，虽香，却没有引起村民的多大兴趣。一天，赵家大儿子惊奇地发现，茶枝也带有小白花的香气，随即检查了整块茶田，发现到处都带着香气。他不声不响采了一筐茶叶，到苏州城里去卖，这含香的茶叶非常走俏，让他发了大财。两个弟弟认为哥哥的香茶叶是父亲种的香花所致，卖茶叶的钱应三人均分。兄弟间吵闹不休，两个弟弟便要强行把香花毁掉。乡里有位老隐士戴逵，被赵氏三兄弟请来评理。
