学习英语首先要喜欢上英语，感觉到英语本身的美感，这一点很重要；直到有一天，我发现英语这个东西是个很美丽的东西，所以其余的一切就是顺理成章的事情了。

1.什么是基本功？

        基本功包括语音，语法，词汇。语音中的音素，重音，语调，节奏等；语法中的句子结构，动词时态和语态；词汇中的常用词用法，词汇搭配等。基本功还包括熟练的听说读写的基本技巧和良好的实用英语的习惯，以及正确的学习方法和独立工作的能力。

        学习英语没有捷径可循，必须付出时间和精力，必须勤学苦练，但没有捷径并非不讲究方法，应该经常总结自己的经验教训，勤于思考，善于思考，尽量不走弯路。

 

2.为什么要学习英语？

   Taking the easy road is nice for a while, but for talented, motivated people it isn’t enough. To find satisfaction you’ll need to set ambitious goals, solve challenging problems, and develop strengths you may not know you have.

   Although the hard road is more fulfilling, it isn’t all champagne and victory laps. There will be times when you feel beaten and depressed — times when quitting looks like the best option. There is no formula for dealing with hard times, but may be you can take a break.

 

There is no single definition of human nature,for the simple reason that we are all individuals and no two humans are,or can ever be,exactly alike.

Many an institution has been set up to try and make sense of the inscrutable nature of we human beings and,although an inroad has been made,it is only instrumental in showing how little we really understand.

We tend to institutionalise those of us that do not conform to the common standards and we sometimes class them as insane,but is insanity really the disease?

It is highly instructive to read the huge amount of wisdom that so many learned men sought to inscribe throughout the centuries in order to fulfil their insatiable,if sometimes,insalubrious,quest to define human nature.

1. 品味生活瞬间

2. 少攀比

向邻居看齐是美国文化的一部分，然而与他人攀比会损害我们的快乐和自尊。根据Lyubomirsky所说，代替与他人攀比，关注我们个人的成就，会产生更大的满足感。

　　在北京的时候， 《日下旧闻考》、《帝京景物略》、《燕京岁时记》、《长安客话》等是手边常翻之书。客居纽约以后，关于纽约的历史文化论著成了我的览读中心。及至搬到毗邻哈德逊河的乡间上学的时候，便专寻当地的作者或描写当地风物历史的著作。灯明茶热之时，读着搜寻得来的文字，初来乍到的异地感觉也渐渐为一种文化的温暖乡情悄悄融化了。
