    没落的中国清王朝对西藏的影响力越来越小。北方的俄罗斯帝国和南方的大英帝国对西藏越来越感兴趣。

    1903年，一支由杨哈思班（Younghusband）上校率领的英国远征军抵达拉萨。英国人战死4名士兵，却屠杀了超过700名试图阻止他们的西藏人。这些藏人当时的主要拦截手段仅仅是宗教魔法。英国人在拉萨建立了'商务代表处'。中国人将达赖喇嘛撤离到青海高原，在那里他的行动自由受到限制，也许这是为了防止他与英国占领者进行接触。

    1907年，芬兰民族英雄马歇尔·曼纳海姆（Marshal Mannerheim）在进行他著名的穿越中亚的马背之旅期间，拜访了达赖喇嘛。他当时是沙皇俄国军队的上校，他的旅行实际上是一次间谍行为。正因为如此，他才对13世达赖喇嘛产生兴趣。

    达赖喇嘛的权力逐渐削弱。1950年，解放军和平进入西藏。看来14世达赖喇嘛在初期之所以接受这个现实，仅仅是想将其作为维持自己神权独裁统治的保障。1954年，他奢侈地扩大和重建了夏宫罗布林卡（Norbulingka Summer Palace）。

今天我们要讲的习惯 用语的关键词是pot。我想大家都熟悉pot这个词。它可以解释煮东西的锅子。我们要学的第一个习惯用语是: go to pot。Go to pot这个习惯用 语来自牧场。牧场上的牲口随着年龄的增长而每况欲下，最后在老得不中用的时候就难逃被屠宰的命运，然后人们会把它们切成小块扔进锅里煮了吃。这就是go to pot这个习惯 用语的出典，当然现在它通用的意思和描述的对象已经有所转化。

    最近,新浪关于让座的新闻好象比较多,我也凑凑热闹,说一个让座的故事

 

 

    表弟在上海工作，每天需乘公交上班，大约不到两个小时。

 

    一天早上，象往常一样，表弟匆匆吃完早餐，挤上了去往公司的公交车。

 

    两站过后，一位老太太站在了他的旁边。表弟见状不敢怠慢，连忙起身让座。老太太倒也爽快，侧身将座位占住，往车后一顿猛挥手，嘴里急喊：快，快，快！只见一个20多岁的姑娘，飞快的挤了过来，一屁股坐了下来，舒舒服服地开始欣赏着窗外的风景。

 

    又过了两站，旁边有人下车，空出一座位，表弟刚要落座，转念一想：索性好人做到底吧，女儿坐了，这当娘的站着，也不是回事啊，让给老太太吧，于是，他又对着老太太发扬了一次风格，老人家又没有客气，依然是同样的动作，侧身挡住座位，向车后挥手，急喊：快，快，快。只见一个老头风风火火挤了过来，舒舒服服地坐了下来。

  今天的确是一个比较令人郁闷的日子!

  早上出门好不容易赶上公车,却不幸遇到了交通堵塞,半个小时的车程,楞是足足走了将近一个小时。

  飞奔，冲进教室，总算不是太晚。

  两个小时很快过去了。

  回家的车还算方便，虽然要走一段路，但毕竟是始发站，肯定有座。

  上车，果然没有几个人！挑一靠窗位置坐下！

  几站过后，一年轻女子上车，直接站在我的旁边。几分钟后，我沉沉睡去。

  不知过了多久，突然惊醒，竟然不知车已行至何处，奋力睁开眼睛，从睡意中挣脱出来，才发现车即将过站，连忙起身下车。奇怪，车上难得的人少，旁边女子竟然不情愿让道。

  稀里糊涂走到家门口，摸钥匙开门，手一伸进左边裤兜，心猛然一沉，惊出一身冷汗！钱包没有了！？身份证，银行卡都随钱包不翼而飞！

  瞬间的大脑空白之后，恍然大悟！

  原来，自己遭遇了公交迷药女贼！
