Dear people that have been writing to me,
 
I am in America right now. Sorry I haven't been writing articles that much now. I just forgot about the articles until my mom reminded me.
 
Anyways, at my school, I am learning about US symbols and laws. You have many rights. But along with the rights, you have responsibilities. Like if you have the right to talk, your responsiblity is not to say mean words. The governments are necessary to protect the rights and the property of people. I think they protect the people by sending people who rob and pretend to be a government judge to take the rights of other people away to court, or supreme court. Only the real government can take away the right

School's out! Woo Hoo! Can you believe it? I'm gonna have so much fuuuun! What about you? Anyways, this is my first day of no school of this year.
 
I won't be here though next week. I'm going to Minneapolis in Minnesota. So I won't have many new articles, 'cause I'm gonna be gone for the week.

I just finished reading a book called Carnival at Candlelight. It's a book from the series of The Magic Tree House. In the book, two kids that are named Jack and Annie find a treehouse that is magical. There are magical books inside. They know because when they found the treehouse, they looked through the books. The first book was a dinosaur book. Jack saw a picture of dinosaurs. Then Jack said,'I wish I could go there!', cause he really really wanted to go there. Then the treehouse started spinning around. When the treehouse stopped, they were at the time when dinosaurs were alive. But this book shows them going on a trip to Venice. Venice is a city in Italy. It's

At school when I learned about China, I made a Chinese hat out of blue paper. I like the Chinese hat a lot. Because it's cool. I think the Chinese hat will block the sun although it will get wet when the rain comes and it shall be blown away when the wind comes. I think the farmers will wear the hats, but not all Chinese people, especially not the emperors.
 
Let me show you how to make a Chinese hat. First, cut out a circle with paper in any size you want. Then cut a line from the edge of the paper with scissors to the middle of the paper. Then take one side of the paper and put it over the other so that it forms into a cone shape. Then tape it. Ta da! I also made a little Chinese white hat for my friend, Pinkie. We have t

I am learning about ancient China in school. The Chinese invented a lot of things. They invented kites, abacuses, fireworks, wheel barrels, wow, they invented so many things I can't even name them all. Oh, yeah, they also invented silk. They made silk by waiting for silk worms to make their cocoons. Then, the cocoons broke apart into silk and then they took it out with chopsticks. It probably took fifty cocoons to make one necktie. Wow! Just think how many cocoons it would take to make one whole bed sheet! Wow! Wow, I'm saying so many wows I can't even say wows any more! Wow! oopsie daisies!:(

 
Kites.   Different shapes of kites were dragons, butterflies, and birds. Some kites were so heavy that many men would have to carry the kites. The ancient Chinese used kites in wars to see the distance from their enemies to them.

Strawberries(2006-05-27 05:22)
 

Today, 5-26-06

Right after I picked up my brother from his school, I went strawberry picking at an orchard. We picked a lot of big, huge strawberries. They tasted very good with whipped cream on top.

There weren't many people there, but it was very very very fun and it was very very hot. I didn't like the hot weather at all. :(

This is a picture of me picking strawberries from the strawberry patch. A woman at the check out stand said that this is the first year they grew strawberries. It is actually a peach orchard. They also have cherry trees. We couldn't pick the cherries today because they are not ready to be picked. But, they're ready next week, though. I don't really like cherries, so I don't have to go, cry, cry, cry.

I am going to remember recess and tie-dying my t-shirt for the African market. I am also going to remember the field trips, going to Jamestown and Washington DC Zoo. At Jamestown, my favorite part was the gift shop. One of the things I got was a little statue for my brother. The statue was a man on a horse holding a sword up. My brother likes action and the statue shows action. At the Washington Zoo, I saw a big gorilla hanging on to a bar, and a cute little panda hugging on a tree and the mommy was sleeping. I saw cheetahs and tigers. Someone told me a cheetah in the family would leave after he grows up.
 
I would also love to remember my teacher, Ms. Broadus and my friends. Ms. Broadus is one of the best teachers I've ever had. She is very nice. She explains well. Some of my friends are, Olivia, karly, Susannah, Hannah, Kate, Lilly, Kristina

Community Day was very fun. It was just like having recess for the whole morning. And right after that, I had recess again. If you want to know what recess is, ask me. Anyway, Community Day is when we get to have people you know come to my school.

 

On Community Day, I invited my mother. We played a game called, two-dice, twenty-two somethings and two somebodies. We also made cartouches. Cartouches are golden, and have hieroglyphic symbols. On the cartouches, we wrote our names in hieroglyphics. The Egyptians used hieroglyphics for writing. Examples of
