和上一代C级的雅致的外形相比，新C级除了不遗余力地继承外，设计中更增强了一些霸气和动感，车身线条也更加流畅。而上一代C级中最为经典的花生米形车灯，在新C中没有继承，取而代之的是和新S级比较接近的多边形车灯。体现出奔驰车近几年的设计趋势。同时，棱角分明，车身简洁化的设计趋势，也在新C级中有所体现。
