为了丰富听说口语学员课余文化生活，天津新东方将在暑期前推出各类听说口语活动来满足广大英语爱好者的需求，具体时间如下：

        2009年度“新东方杯”新概念英语背诵大赛（以下简称大赛），是由天津新东方主办的，以培养兴趣、打好扎实的英语基本功、增强学生信心、展示个人风采为目的，旨在选拔天津市优秀的英语学习者，为天津的经济、文化建设创造良好的语言环境。

Traditions and customs

The word Nian was originally the name of a monster that started to prey on people the night before the beginning of the lunar New Year. It was discovered that Nian had a fear of loud noises and the color of red. 口语作为英语整体学习的重要组成部分，其对于生活以及工作的重要性已经英语学习者所意识，因此这也为当代的口语教学打下了坚实的基础。

谈到口语学习，我认为，要想真正学好一门语言，首先需要从其本质谈起。1 989年世界著名的语言学家levelt ，W.J.M在《from intention to articulation》一书中将语言生成过程分为四大阶段：分别是构思概念、组织语言、发出声音、自我监控。简单来说，构思概念主要指计划说什么、表达什么意思、达到什么目的。组织语言只要指寻找合适的语言材料，包括单词、短语、句型、语音、语调、结构等。发出声音主要指运用发音器官，把前两个环节的决策付诸实施，最终达到自我监控环节，也就是对自己生成的语言进行观察、调整、修正等。这就是任何一种语言产生的全过程。Levelt 对语言四阶段的划分对于英语口语教学有着非常重要的方法意义，特别是其中组织语言
