Nobel Peace
Prize
I had never
heard that the Dalai is a Nobel Peace Prize laureate until
yesterday, however, it is true. Dalai lama won his Nobel Peace
Prize in 1989. To most of the Chinese people, this fact is
shocking, ridiculous and unacceptable! Firstly, we can review the
conditions that were needed to be a Nobel peace prize
laureate.
Nobel died in 1896 and did not leave an explanation for choosing
peace as a prize category. The categories for chemistry and physics
were obvious choices as he was a trained chemical engineer. The
reason behind the peace prize is less clear. However, even Mr.
Nobel invented dynamite and ballistite, both of those are materials
of bombs, we still have baselines and universal principles about
peace, isn’t it?
According to the 'Excerpt from the Will of Alfred Nobel Nobel”

The solar system and the
origin of tide
We can begin our article with celestial objects, as we have
known, a star is considered as a massive and luminous celestial
object. It can shine due to the thermonuclear fusion in their core.
The star we are most familiar with is the sun; A planet is a
celestial object as well, differently, it can’t shines by itself. A
planet is lighter and smaller than a star and always orbiting a
star. It is massive enough to be rounded by its own gravity but is
not massive enough to cause thermonuclear fusion. The planet we are
most familiar with is the Earth.
Therefore, stars and planets are both units of celestial objects
and what’s more, the solar system can be simply looked upon as a
planetary system which is made up of star and planets. The sun is
the center and core of the solar system and there are eight planets
orbiting the sun. In the order of the their distance with the sun
from nearest t
Melting pot and America
Melting pot’s literal sense refers to the pot or crucible wherein
metals and other solid substances are melted, especially in order
to mix them. However, the derived meaning of melting pot refers to
the fusion of nationalities, ethnicities and cultures. Nowadays,
people usually use this phrase as a pronoun for the United
States.
The origin of the American society began from the colonial era.
The United States only had thirteen former British colonial states
first, all these states were situated in the Atlantic seacoast and
the eastern plain of Appalachian Mountains. Including New
Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut,
Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North
Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. During that period, Great
Britain faked the gorgeous pictures of New World and inveigled a
great number of people to move to the New World, including British,
Irish, S

Write something about
pixels
I believe most people think that the more pixels a picture has,
the clearer it is. In some sense, it’s true. But the pixels are
just one aspect which out of many that influence the definition of
a picture. However, some pixels are just faked by some formulas.
Take cameras as an example, Sony always boasts about how many
pixels their cameras have, but in a camera, the most important part
is the light-sensitive device or “sensor”. The top-notch
sensor can preserve images vividly, and if a camera has a lower end
snesor, the image can’t be so clear. However, since many people go
after the pixels, the manufacturer fake some pixels by some
operations. Although, the picture which has been processed preserve
more pixels, obviously, it is not as vivid as a real one.
As a journalist student, I also have a Canon DSLR(Digital
single-lens reflex) camera 30D. By far, I, as a member of the
press, atten
Why is ‘blood is thicker
than water’?
The letter sense of ‘Blood is
thicker than water’ is about the density: the density of blood is
thicker than water. It’s obvious. Additionally, the derived meaning
of this sentence is that the affection among the people who belong
to one nation or one family is greater and deeper than other
relationships.
This saying first came from an American
military officer. In 1859, the British invaders arrived in Tianjing
harbor and attempted to attack Jingjin, the capital of the Qing
Dynasty. Although the government of the Qing Dynasty was talentless
and on its way to destruction, the army in Tianjing harbor was
undaunted and inflexible. They used many tactics and resisted the
British naval assaults succes
Evolution
If I want to discuss
this topic, I must introduce Charles Robert Darwin(FRS) at first,
who is a British biologist and the founder of Evolutionism, or we
can even call this theory Darwinism. In my opinion, his most
valuable contribution is “Origin of Species” which is Darwin’s
representative work and was published in 1859. The main idea of
this book is natural selection, till today, this concept still has
important effects on researches in biology.
The element of natural
seclection is that all species have an inclination of
over-reproduction, with limited food and room, only a portion of
these species can survive. So, these conditions provide competition
among organisms for survival and reproduction. This is called “Only
the strong survive”, consequently, organisms with traits

Our Sanya story began
with the NBA Jam Van which should be traced back at the middle of
October this year. I accidently won the game and been the slam dunk
king of Xiamen. It’s weird because a 226 pounds fat person won a
competition which is judged by how high you can jump? How lucky I
was and how shameful other players were. All in all, I beat other
competitors and won myself a free trip to Sanya where
the nationwide final of slam dunk competition would be held.
But not everything goes so well, I mean something there is bound
to go athward. Unsurprisingly, they canceled the final for some
reasons. Therefore, I decided to go to Sanya with my friends and
established a group of four. You know, even though it is already
extremely cold in northern areas, Sanya’s November is perfect:
neither hot nor cold and always has sunny days.
November 24th, the day right after my birthday, I began my trip
to Sanya. We flew to Haikou at
The first time I came across Christianity can be
traced back several years ago. When I was a freshman in campus, I
met two foreigners, one of them came from the United States and the
other came froam Indonesia. Not until they gave me a sheet of paper
did I recognize what they were doing around here. The paper which
they gave me is a flyer about Christianity and they are
missionaries that came across the ocean.
That American guy Nick finally became my friend. Honestly,
he taught me a lot of knowledge about Christianity even though I
refused to join “the family”. He told me: In the beginning God
created the heaven and th
Israel has a long and
proud history. Since there are two out of three main religions of
the world, Christianity and Islam originated from Israel which is
also the cradle of Judaism, Israel is an important place in western
religions. Jews consider Israel as their holy land and promised
land. Actually, Israel refers to a nation but not a place at first,
the Ephraim, and ‘the Old Testament’ of the Bible depicts the
history of Ephraim.
Ephraim’s earliest
ancestors are Abraham, his sons Isaac and Jacob and their
descendants. Abraham is descendant of Shem who is the eldest son of
Noah. Noah survived flood, his offspring Abraham was also picked by
the God to be his servant. God once said: so give ear, O Israel,
and take care to do this; so that it may be well for you, and you
may be greatly increased, as the Lord the God of your fathers has
given you his words, in land flowing with
