WF Teams for 2019 WF Porto advanced from 2018 Asia Regional Contests

I.                Teams advancing to 2019 WF Porto from Asia EC, PSP and WC:

(a)     Asia East Continent (EC)  ( 3+13+2 slots)

                               (d)  Special/ Bonus slots:

             There may be a few special/bonus slots available for institutes who made great contribution to ICPC. If your university was making great contribution to ICPC, please have current or former RCD submit application to Asia Director

by  January 22, 2019 China time  with a list of info as specified in the following (1) to (5):

                 (Please limit the answers in the last 10 years.)

(1)  Which years had your university hosted Asia Regional Contests?

(2)   Which years had your university hosted Asia Provincial/Invitational contests?

(3)  Which years had your university attended World Finals ?

(4)  Which years among item (3), had your university received Asia Bonus/special slots to attend World Finals?

(5)  The ranking of your team in 2018 must be at least 15 or better. Please list your team/site info.

(6)   Asia Director’s selection is final.

II.            Explanation on rules and resolutions used to select teams in I.(a), I.(b), and I.(c),         

(a)  The slots allocation to 3 sub-regions based on Asia Rules.

(b)  The number of teams allocated to 3 sub-regions is based on the 2017 Asia Rules using the average of 2018 and 2017 sub-region contest site scores.

        (c)  The teams allocated to each contest site within the sub-region are based on the 2018   contest standings, and on the special resolutions such as EC Resolutions, PSP Resolutions, and WC resolution, specified in the Asia Rules or posted in Asia blog.

(d)The 2018 data of Asia Regional contest sites scores were provided by the “Asia Contest Site Scores Calculations & WF Teams Selection Sub-Committee” for each sub-region based on Asia Rules and the above resolutions. If uploading the contest ranking by RCD to the ICPC contest sites was too late, the contest site score may be counted as zero.

 

       (e) The three numbers (k + m +n) from item I.(a), I.(b) and I. (c) are (Medal slots + Participation slots + Performance slots) as defined in the Asia Rules.

III.  Important Reminders

(a)     If team accepts the invitation to WF and if the team does not attend the WF, the university or the college of the team will receive severe penalty by Asia Rules item III.E.4.
