（2014年7月7日，/HRoot.com/）据英国国家统计局最新发布的官方数据显示，英国工人的薪资水平将在近四十岁时达到顶峰。在2013年，38岁工人的平均收入为13.93英镑一个小时。在1975年大部分工人的平均收入为7.09英镑小时。然而，男性和女性的工资高峰期有所不同。“去年，男性在50岁工资达到高峰，但对女性来说，34岁就达到高峰期了，”国家统计局数据显示。 当前，平均来看，工人薪资在其38岁时达到峰值，而在1975年在29岁时工人薪水达到顶峰。而这也进一步说明越来越多的人接受高等教育，同时这也证实了延迟退休的意义与价值所在。

And the average salary of people aged 38 was £13.93 per hour in 2013, while the average salary of most employees was £7.09 per hour in 1975. It is also reported that the salary peak for males and females are very different. According to the data that people aged 50 hits their salary peak in 2013, while female is by the age of 34. That peak earnings now occur for those aged 38, on average, compared to age 29 in 1975, and this makes sense in terms of increased participation in tertiary education but also validates the shift towards later retirement too.
