在此需注明的是,“提供最一流服务”是基于“你的全体员工均能达到统一稳定的服务水平”这一基础上的。那些没有稳定客源的新人需要立即进行强化训练,弥补其不足,并以此来完善沙龙的整体水平。此外你所要做的是,始终处于至高点观察流行动向,能准确把握什么是最in最时尚的,并知晓如何在客户身上重复演绎这种时尚的方法;确保你所提供的正是契合客户个人风格的形象;最重要的是,要记住,我们造型师的使命是,使客户不仅是看起来,更是在气质和感觉上获得美的提升。

 最后也是最重要的是,你所做的造型必须“易洗免烫”,也就是在理发数周以后,顾客的头发依旧易于打理且光彩照人。只此一项,便能反映出“业余”与“专业”的巨大差距;我们每一次剪发都会把重点放在塑造头发的形态上,头发的“造形”越成功,客人自行打理时就越简便。但现在普遍状况却是,发型师虽然剪得不怎么样,却通过吹发在店里做好定型掩盖技术上的缺陷,客人们都高高兴兴付了钱,回家睡个觉、洗个头,结果什么型都没了,再也恢复不了了,你说,他(她)能爽吗?所以,这种行为应该从根本上杜绝,否则,它会像瘟疫一样,不仅损害发型师的声誉与事业,更会打击整个行业及真正的美发艺术。

Trials and tribulations

 

One of the most frightening sounds is silence, when the phone stops ringing and fortunately many salons this year will fail to exist... Globally we are seeing a financial crisis of epic proportions and the best way to not only survive but also grow during this challenging time is to provide quality and excellence in every action.

 

Recessions are a natural part of life, think of it as a baby evolution that makes adjustments and restores things to a more balances manner. Too many salons in the same market is what we have experienced for quite some time now and the customer (boss) has many salon options today but we must remember that when money is scarce people demand for quality raises significantly. So the best solution is to provide services that not only meet but also exceed their expectations and by doing so you can feel much more confident with retaining your existing client base, as this should help you survive the tough times.

 

Often survival is not enough, during this financial recession there are always those who not only will survive nut will be able to grow their business while others fail. Being the best at what you do, making sure that whatever your competition does you do better, delivering the number 1 services to all clients will allow you to grow your business in any situation. Remember that there will be many salons closing this year (as they should due to the over saturated market) but their clients will still need to have hair services and the best conditions are the closed salons clients become your new clients.

 

Providing the best all around services means ensuring that your entire staff produces at a consistent standard, those newer stylist or stylists who client retention is not so strong should immediately get additional training to fill their weaknesses and strengthen their salons overall excellence. Stay on top of the trends, know exactly what is really in style, how to reproduce these fashions consistently, make sure that the looks you are giving your clients actually fit their personal style and most importantly remember that our duty is to make our clients look and feel more beautiful. Personal style is the key factor to consider when choosing the right look for your clients, every body has a different style so we must first identify their style, then discover their face's most beautiful area is and make sure that the cut and chemical is bringing out their best characteristics and hide their natural flaws. This must all be determined even before your client goes to have their hair washed, the consultation is everything and all major errors in the salon occur here. Take the time to listen to your clients needs, understand her lifestyle, expectations, find out what looks worked for her in the past, learn what looks she does not like and from there select the right look and explain to her why you have made this choice and how the chosen look best fits her personal style, facial features and requirements.

 

Finally the most important element is wash and wear hair, hair that is easily managed and looks great for weeks after the cut. This is the major difference between the amateurs and the professionals, when we cut hair we put a shape into it, the better the shape the easier it is for your client to style her hair at home. Far too often clients get a bad cut but the stylist blow dries and styles the hair in salon to hide all of the mistakes just made, then the client happily pays for the cut and goes home only to discover that after she washes her hair it never looks the same again, this method should be avoided like a plague cause it is the methods that damages reputations, careers, industries and the true art and beauty of hair, take the time to do everything as best you can and give respect for yourself, your clients and your industry to always provide excellence...
