1. both sides 在两边(都)
each side是指两者及两者以上的任意一边
either side指两者中的任一边
2. 从隐含的含义上讲三者是一样的
如There are many shops on both sides of the street.
=There are many shops on each side of the street.
=There are many shops on either side of the street.
3.但是这三者不会完全相等.
both sides  强调的是两边,为复数概念
each/either side 强调的是(两边中的)任意一边,为单数概念
如: Both sides of the street are covered with rubbish.
而Each/Either side of the street is covered with rubbish.
例如：Flowers were planted on          side of the river.
        A.every  B.both  C.either  D.neither
首先判断这几个词用于几个之间的选择。
    ①every是用作三个或三个以上的“每一个”，比如说我们之间的每一个，every one of us，这里的us必须是多于三个人。
    ②both是用作两个的“全部”，比如both of us，这里的us就只有两个人，而这个时候表示的是一个复数概念。比如说，河的两岸，应该是both sides of the river，因为both表示的是“两个都”，是复数概念。
    ③either和neither也是修饰“两个”的词语，但是意义不同，either表示的是“两者之中的任一个”，是单数概念；而neither表示的是“两个都不”，也是单数概念。
    ④这道题目中，side是单数，而且河只有两岸，所以排除A和B。而D表示的意思又不对，所以只能选C。
