Normally, a lunch break lasts 60minutes, which leaves around 40 minutes to spare after eating. Fora lot of Chinese workers, taking a nap seems to be the most popularway to set ourselves up for the rest of the day. Despite this, arecent China Youth Daily survey found that almost 60 percent of thecountrys office workersare unable to enjoy a good nap during their lunchbreaks.

 

午休时间通常为60分钟,饭后大约还有40分钟的空余时间。对不少中国人而言,睡午觉似乎是最受欢迎的方式,能为一天中的剩余时光做好准备。尽管如此,《中国青年报》近期发布的一项调查显示,我国约60%的职场人士不能在午休时间好好睡个午觉。

She started weekend classes in Japaneseseveral months ago and now uses the time after eating to recitewords and text from her lessons, saying this helps switch her mindto something shesinterested in while *banishing workplace blues.

Writing can clear up mental *clutter andreleases emotions that often cannot be said out loud.Guo Li, 24, atranslator at a translation agency in Hangzhou, writes about whatis weighing on her heart or mind every day after lunch.

 

写作可以理清思绪,释放一些不能说出口的情绪。现年24岁的郭丽(音译)是杭州一家翻译公司的译员。她每天午饭后都会写下心头的烦心事。

 

Translating is not creative work,so I do need something to refresh myself during this gap atnoon,she said.Having no particular subject to writeabout, she usually write a diary, covering her last 24 hours ofactivities.

 

“翻译并不是一项创造性的工作,所以我的确需要在午休的时候换换脑子,”她说道。她并没有什么特定的主题,通常就是写写日记,记录过去24小时的活动。

 

Since working overtime at nightis often the case and theres nearly no time leftbefore going to bed, using lunch time to write everydays diary couldnt be better forme,she noted.This gives my eyes abreak from the screen, too.

 

“因为我们晚上加班是常事,在上床睡觉前基本没有空余时间,所以利用午饭时间写写每天的日记对我来说就再适合不过了,”她表示。“这也可以让我的眼睛从屏幕前休息一下。”
