A survey by Ctrip, China’s toptourism service provider, has found that 70 percent of Chineseparents think traveling is the best gift to give to their children.More than half, or 55 percent, are willing to pay about $1,470 forthat experience, and 15 percent are willing to pay over$2,940.

The average payment for travel wasaround $490.
