杂谈

Last night in my dream, I met up with a friend and we were going to get coffee. Walking down the road, I realized that this was not real, yet everything felt so accurate and vibrant that I could not find any betrayal of the imagined truth. I sat down with my friend in an outdoor cafe alongside a busy street and told him good humorly "No offense to you, but I think we are in a dream." He apparently did not believe me but allowed me to go on. I pointed to the end of the street and described the beautiful beach and all the families enjoying the sunshine down there, adding "I hope this dream ends there."
Not sooner after I said this, I lost all grips on my sentences and were pulled out of the dream and woke up beside my sister. She turned and murmured "I had a weird dream." "Me too!"
We turned on the TV, a comedy movie was on, staring Michael Fassbender as a single guy who wanted to be a father and asked a lesbian couple (Kristen Wiig and Amy Poehler) to be his surrogate. I bursted out "I have seen this, it is really good! Let's just watch this!" We sat on the bed and opened all my favorite snacks, watching the movie until finally I work up again, this time for real, alongside my husband, all my snacks gone.....
