莫顿的自然环境好，能见到一些自然的动物，狐狸是其中之一。最先一次是在自家花园后门外的草坪上见的，是一只火红的小狐狸，非常惊艳！在《花园访客》中有所描述。有时我们散步途中，会望见狐狸远远地落个影儿。最长久的一次是我在河边欣赏秋景儿时，发现一只狐狸在对岸的草丛中，就那么静静地卧着，我大声跟他打招呼“哈罗”，他也没跑，任我拍了照片，等确信我要过桥去时，他才慢慢地走开了。实际所见，狐狸没有妖媚狡猾的感觉，是有点羞涩安静的美丽生灵。也许，正是那份美丽的神秘感，才使人们联想到许多传奇吧。

    There have nice nature in Mundon, be able to see some natural animals, fox is the one of them. The first was on the lawn outside back door of garden, a little fox, red as fire, amazing beautiful! Mentioned that in 《The Visitor Of Garden》. Sometimes as walking, might appear fox further. The longest meeting was: when I was enjoying the autumn view, found a fox in the grass on the other side of the river, just sitting there quietly. I said “hello” to him loudly, he did not run away, let me take some photos, till sure I was going to cross the bridge, he walked away slowly then. Actually seen, fox is out of bewitching sly, but a kind of shy whist pretty life. Maybe, just because that fair mystery, make people reflect fairy tales.
