三、十倍速法

1、 abolish  v.  废除（法律、死刑）废止

同义:

cancel  v. 取消，删去

delete  v.删除                                                           

erase  v. 擦除  清除   Don’t  erase  the  words  别把字擦掉

remove  v.撤走 除去  to remove  the mud（n. 泥） from your shoes. 除去你鞋上的泥

repeal  v. 废除撤消   提议被撤消

反义：

build   v.建立

establish  v.建立   公司、机构的建立

set  up 建立制定  法律制度的制定

词性变化：

abolishment  n.  废除，废止

2、 abundance  n. 丰富，大量

同义：

plenty  n. 充分，丰富，很多

enough  n. 足够，充足

full  n. 充分 全部  tell me the full of it  把这全部告诉我吧。

反义：

lack  n.缺少  不足

scant  n. 减少  The food  is rather scanty(adj.  不足的; 贫乏的;) 食物相当缺乏。

deficiency  n. 不足缺乏  You have deficiency of common sense 你缺乏常识

shortage  n.短缺

词性变化：

abundant  adj.富裕的，充足的

abundantly  adv.充足地，富裕地

3、affirm  v. 断言，断定

同义：

assert  v. 断定

allege  v. 宣称 断言

declare  v. 声明 断言

state  v. 声明 确定

pronounce  v. 断言

反义：

deny  v 否定，否认  I can’t deny it. 我无法否认

negate  v. 否定

renounce  vt 声明放弃，与……断绝关系  他声明与其女儿断绝关系  he renounced his daughter。

词性变化：

affirmative  adj. 肯定的，赞成的  他的回答是肯定的  his  answer to  this question is affirmative.

四、故事法

1.  姚明的故事

姚明在一次比赛中被对方队员踩伤左脚，伤得非常严重，不得不在场边待4－6个月。

sideline  n. (球场的）边线 、副业  on the sideline  在场边（引申为旁观）

sideliner（n. 旁观者）     spectator（n. 观众  旁观者）

我们应该帮他一把，不要袖手旁观。

2.  齐达内的故事

06年德国世界杯时，齐达内一脑袋撞上了马特拉齐。各大媒体都聘请了唇读专家来翻译：到底马特拉齐在说什么让齐达内如此生气，一头撞上了他。
