一、           加减法

单词      含义        助记法   

加法：

garbage   n.垃圾       garage+b     车库（garage）里摆放（b）了很多垃圾（garbage）

fable   n.寓言，神话   f+able       费翔（f）能（able）唱寓言（fable）

cable     n.电缆       c+able       电缆（cable）能够（able）传（c）电。

concerto  n.协奏曲     concert+o（代表全部）  音乐会（concert）上尽是（o）协奏曲（concert）

estrange   v.疏远      e+strange     看到（e）陌生的（strange）就疏远（estrange）

 

减法：

monk     n.和尚      monkey-ey       猴子（monkey）没有意外（ey）的话会做和尚（monk）

ridge  n.山脊，山脉    bridge-b      拱形的桥（bridge）像山脊（ridge）

utter  说话，完全地，绝对地  butter-b 如果你的嘴里全是黄油（butter）就完全（utter）没法说话了。

range     n.范围      strange-st     这个范围（range）很奇怪（strange），没有街道（st－stree）

villa      n.别墅      village-ge    村庄（village）有个(ge)别墅(villa)

                                     村庄（village）砍掉尾巴（ge）变别墅 （villa）

lever     n.杠杆       clever-c      发明杠杆（lever）的人很聪明（clever）

                                     聪明的（clever）人去掉c成杠杆（lever）

limb  n.肢，臂，四肢   climb-c       爬上（climb）要靠（c）四肢（limb）

broth     n.肉汤       brother-er    兄弟（brother）切耳（er）成肉汤（broth）

sore     疼痛的       store-t        商店（store）的东西被偷（t），很心疼（sore）

sow    播种，散步    slow-l        播种（sow）要慢（slow）/ 边犁（l）边播种（sow）很慢（slow）

spot    n.景点，地点  sport-r      操场是我们运动（sport）的地点（spot）

二、字母变换法

三、靓句法

1.你太逊了。

You are so weak.

weak  形容能力或在某个领域能力较弱

bobby数学太差。

Bobby is weak in maths.

 

2.说别人坏话 v. trash talk

当他不高兴时，他什么都说得出口。

When he is mad, he trash talks everything.

 

3.烦恼，痛楚 n. pain in the neck

这个新计划令我烦恼。

This new project is a pain in the neck.

pain in the butt(屁股)   烦恼

pain in the ass    烦恼

 

4.pervert  v. 使反常 n.变态

Bobby 看我的眼神真够变态。

The way bobby looks at me is really pervert.

隔壁那个男的真变态。当我经过时他会盯着我看。

The man next door is pervert. He stares at me whenever I walk by.

 

5.得到薪酬  v. get paid

我见你买了车，你收入多少？

I see you bought yourself a new car. How much do you get paid?

你拿多少薪水？

How much do you get paid?

How much do you get your salary?

get paid=get one’s salary

 

6.错过，没有赶上  v. miss (任何没有赶上，未达成的事情均可用miss)

我病了三天没有工作了。

I missed the work for three days because I was sick.

 

7.adj.竞争的n.对手  rival

各部门在月底前增相提高其业绩。

The rival departments are in the race to increase their sales before the month’s end.

8.朝九晚五 nine to five

我不喜欢朝九晚五的工作。

I don’tlike nine to five kind of job.

 

9.quit v. 辞职，放弃（主动放弃）

我不干了。I quit.

Bobby 由于复学而辞掉兼职。

Bobby quits his part-time job because he is going back to school.

resign 辞职，放弃，辞去（职位高的人，高管，公众人物辞去工作时用）

 

10.bonus n.奖品，赠品（非钱财的物品）；奖金，红利    bus+on 在公交车（bus）上（on）发赠品（bonus）

由于公司赚了很多钱，所有人都拿了一大笔奖金。

Every one received a big bonus because the company made a lot of money.

 

四、象形词串烧法

1.纯粹（mere）只不过（mere）差点是更多（more）

 

2呻吟（moan）“蒙”，贷款（loan）“弄”，再次呻吟（groan）就给“融”

 

3.犁（plow）吹（blow）牛（流）（flow），脸会慢慢(slow)发红发热（glow）

 

4.小巷（lane）偏僻越显孤独（lone）

 

5.苗条（slim）像出贫民窟（slum），贫民窟（slum）里有总数，滑倒（slip）切开（slit）是疏忽（slip）
