Today, I was having lunch with a french friend, and he brought up
the topic over tibet and boycott of olympics.
I hate to make comment on this
controversial argument, and we almost ended up fighting.
Politics are controversial, and
there is no absolute right or wrong.
1.Most westerner believe China
invaded Tibet in 1950s, and we know Tibet is always part of china
back to the tang dynasty.
2.I still don't think most tibetans
want to independence, and since china has liberated Tibet, we
built railway, provided them education, health care, billions
of dollar goes into tibet, and i do believe Tibetan appreciate our
effort , we respect their culture and believe, and give them
autonomy, and try to interfere with their inner politics as little
as possible. I believe most tibetan do get well along
with us, and those 100 rioter, they dont represent
anything, they are just used by Dailai to make such "protest" at
the right time before olympic to pressure on China, and use "human
right" as their excuse, to spread propaganda all over the world. No
doubt most "protester" oversee are "paid", as one of protester for
independence of tibet said in paris that he was paid 300 Euro.
Shame on you.
If anyone would dare to make a
survery or vote, to see if majority tibetan really want
independence, the result could be surprising.
3.Human right is always a problem
in CHina, but I wouldn't call it a problem. I don't think China the
majority will be better off if they get their "human right". In the
perspective of social economics view, the most efficient and fair
political regime is dictatorship, given the dictator represents
what most people wants. Democry is not socially efficient althought
it may be socially desirable. I don't think the chinese will
appreciate human right, and I think they will abuse it. If you are
given the right to vote, you are supposed to be responsible for
yourself and for the sociaty. If 300 Euro could change a person's
political stand and belief, no wonder they will sell
their
human rights" are a tiny amount of money, and there will be more manipulation, and things will get more ugly. Chinese doesn't need and doesn't deserve human rights, so i think it is better to keep the way things are right now.

4.there is really no point to
argue, it only hurt the friendship. I and my western friends
get different information from different resources, and i believe
as a Chinese I knows better about China than they do, and am
more qualified to make comment, but still I would just shut up,
otherwise they will think i am ruthless, abusive, and
unciviliazed just as their prejudice of chinese government.
5. lastly, I wish these rioter stop
killing innocent people, and best luck to Beijing olympic
2008.
"Human
Rights" is a political term, an excuse used to attack China. I
found it it satirical, that today, there were french high school
students protest, and the solider even used weapons e.g teargas in
Paris. In France, a democratic country, this still happens, on
these " innocent students" or "rioter" if you call them that way,
People in paris has no right to protest? and there were 250,000
protesters across france, such big revoluntion!!! but medians just
talked very briefly, then keep on talking the "human right abuse"
in china. Shut up, we didn't even use teargas , and i am telling
you, these rioter in tibet are much more violent than the student
protesters in Paris. another fact is, CCTV4 has program on Tibet,
and explain the truth of Tibet which is on the CBC too, but now
some people go appealing to CBC and said CBC should suspend these
program, come on, in a country with free speech, you don't want to
see what you don't like to see? if this is a country with free
speech and human rights, then we should have both voices, for and
against. I am sorry, but those protesters are brain-washed the
other way around and believe what they want to believe. How ironic!

Why we chinese students hate these protesters? well we dont hate

is a FLAG of CHInese citizen, not of CPC or PLA! reason 2. You call
for Olympic Boycott! It is our pride, in fact pride for Asia,we
don't like your call for BOycott. reason 3. why do you post in west
not at home? this damages our reputation! Do it at home. reason 4.
YOu very violently attacked our embassy! This is like you are
attacking my soul and Pride. reason 5, what freedom?? from what?
YOu want to split great CHina. We liberated you from slavery. What
Freedom Now? We have reasons to hate, but more reasons to love,
lets' respect each other, and bring justice and harmony
