对于乡村这个领域而言，Crow其实并不陌生，在几年前那张横扫CMT年度专辑的Timeless里面，Crow就曾经信手拈来那首乡村得不行的摇摆小调Long Gone Lonesome Blues来向Hank Williams致敬，而且这也再次高度表明七十年代横跨流行、摇滚和乡村三大领域的Linda Ronstadt的确是Crow货真价实的偶像，而这次正好是完成向偶像看齐的关键一击。而我对于这次的转向呈两极反应，首先，我爱乡村，Detours的基调当然也会是我的死穴；但是我同样怀念美式传统摇滚的厚实，上一张Wildflower就在玩民谣，而这次就更远了。但这全是些废话，在专辑灌进我耳朵之前任何对它勾三搭四的臆想都完全是错误的。

值得一提的是这次全权掌控唱片走向的由John Shanks变成了当年Tusday Night Music Club的制作核心Bill Bottrell。
Detours的第一支单曲很有可能就是Shine Over Babylon，它将在10月30号被送到全美的电台并进行网上发售。而正式的专辑则要等到遥远的2008年的农历新年，而显然我已经等不及了。



假如你像我一样欲罢不能地爱着Bright Eyes去年那张故弄玄虚的专辑《Cassadaga》，那么，请注意，今年又有可听的了！Sheryl Crow即将在今年2月5日发行的新专辑《Detours》很可能将是《Cassadaga》的女声版。至少，最先曝光的两首单曲《Shine Over Babylon》和《Love Is Free》有那么点类似的感觉。尤其是前者，我随便翻译了一下，发现那歌词里充斥着历史的、神话的、印度教的词汇，写得相当的《Four Winds》。不管怎么样，基本上可以确定Sheryl Crow这张新专辑将是她继第三张录音室专辑《The Globe Sessions》（1998）之后最摇滚的一张专辑，而且颇有其最牛逼的那张同名专辑的架势。说实话，除了在格莱美现场展示自己的“No War”Tee，Sheryl的唱片好久没那么“愤”了。在此之前，她发行过一张阳光灿烂的《C'mon C'mon》（2002）和一张细水长流的《Wildflower》（2005）。另外，《Detours》也是她在乳癌初愈后发行的第一张唱片。

听歌之前，我们有必要先回忆一下“卡特里娜”有多狠，新奥尔良有多惨
