It's been a while - bouncing around like a "decapitated fly", moving from place to place. It sort of bereft me of the sense of normality. Now, finally things are settling down, and I feel more comfortable while "at home".

Still, there is no Chinese input on this computer - it's not mine.

I took the medical exam on 21st of March, in the city, from 8:30am to 5pm... Struggled to finish all the questions in time. The average time one has to answer one question is 1 minute 24 seconds - that is if you don't set aside any time for reviewing at the end of the exam. Yet most questions have stems consisting of 5 to 6 lines of narrations and a few laboratory test results plus 5 options to choose from... Very nice.

tried to recall the questions the next day and debrief the topics that I hadn't had very good covery in my previous revision, lest that I can't pass it this time, while doing all the housework at our new home. I spent quite some time on rheumatic diseases because of their frequent appearance in the official revision materials, and almost no question was asked... except for an X-ray image of a patient's hands showing some deformity of carpometacarpal, metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints. Lots of effort not appreciated.

Life's never meant to be easy, so they say. Well, one thing I've gotten used to so far in my life is to struggle. I will have my results of the exam in mid/late April... I'll see what happens next then.

After taking this exam, I think I seriously can't understand why people get all excited and worked up for IELTS or TOEFL or GRE. They don't even get you anywhere in a western society - and they are not even nearly as challenging as, say, a medical professional exam.

And yes, I'm now another year older. Thanks to all the babies(bao bao men) who sent over happy birthday messages. You take care in the Chinese "big apple" - Shanghai, be good, work hard, play hard, be nice to the people that care about you:)

I'm in a reasonably good shape - not doing great, still in search of answers to some questions and issues, but still alive and moving forward. I will be fine~ I'm still beautiful as always, by the way:-D

It's pretty good now for me to sit in the late autumn sunshine that comes through the window and blind, thinking, reading and typing. I guess I just need a little bit time to pull myself together again after the exam and moving to this new home.

  Take care, boys and girls.
