Discipline in Education
One of the most interesting jobs in the world is as an educator.
Teaching is both rewarding and enlightening at the same time.
Teachers feel that they are contributing something to society by
educating the leaders of tomorrow.
One of the difficult tasks of an educator is to figure out how to
teach. If students have bad behavior, they are unwilling to learn.
Not only the "bad" student suffers from not gaining knowledge, but
the other students' studies may also falter as a result of the
disruption in class. Teachers must be an authority figure in the
classroom. They must make and maintain rules to conduct a proper
class. The teacher is the authority on proper behavior.
When students do not follow the rules, they may be punished. The
punishment varies from school to school, culture to culture and
country to country. In some areas of the world, the teacher has
much more power on their side, while other teachers need this
power. We will learn more about discipline in our NetTour.
