Traffic in Beijing

In short, traffic in Beijing sucks.
BUS: Bus is the most frequent used transpotation vehicle in Beijing, and also the most dangous one. Except for the suburb lines, all bus lines downtown were full with people all the time, I guess the reason is the reduce of ticket price if you use the convinent traffic card, for instance, the normal price is 0.4 RMB, and the suburb line is 0.8 RMB. If you are using a student card, you only need to pay half money. Everytime when I get on a bus, I never think about finding a seat, because of too many people, only if you go from the start bus stop then you might seat for a while. The conductor always said, go inside, there are plenty of space, actually it's all bullshit!, the only space you can stay is on the roof or hanging on the barriers. The bus drivers are always insane, they drive like they are crazy or drunk, and this makes the experience of taking a bus like riding a horse, it's always up and down as on horse-back ^^, and the drivers love to stop without any warning, the sudden braking always tumbled people down. So if you choose to take a bus, make sure you are strong enough, or at least with a strong heart, because you might die for a heart attack, and I sincerely suggest old people, small kid and pregnent woman not to choose bus to commute, because you can seldom expect somebody will give you a seat there.
SUBWAY: It's seems subway is a good choice in big city like Paris, New York, Seoul, Toyko, Toroto and so on, but in Beijing it never works, because there are also many people in the subway, sometimes you can not even get off in time. Especially in the surface subway from Xizhimen Station to Shangdi Station, so many young, strong working people press close together and make the platform like battlefield in rush hours. If you want to see people fight, you can wait in some Stations on the line I mentioned above, I bet you it happens every single day, just think about it, busy day, hard work, gloomy mood, crowdy subway, it is hell. There is only one advantage with the subway, it is puncture, unlike the bus which always so slow like you wait it for a decade and slowly convince yourself you never gonna see it in your life time! and the possibility is much lower that it will break down when working for subway than bus.
TAXI: It's the most expensive way for public transportation, but also the most comfortable way, comparing with other ways. Don't complain with me that the driver drive more miles than needed, or don't know the place you tell him, or refuse to open the airconditon but open the window instead in summer, I tell what, in Beijing you have to learn to be patient, and tolerate, shit happens everyday, try to balance your attitude by look out and observe the unlucky wretches suffocating on the bus, I'm sure you can feel better, if you still cannot stand the taxi service, just get the f*** out of the city, because Beijing is the place where only tough guy survives.
PRIVATE CAR: Are you kidding me?! How you gonna move in a city of traffic jam and lunatic drivers ever? and think about the coming Olympics, the traffic control will crack you into pieces and make you a total loser after you paid for your little poor superior dream which called car in modern society.
Anyway, it's pathetic to live in Beijing, also to know you cann't walk to work.
By the way, I wonder why in Beijing not so many people choose to commit suicide under so much pressures, maybe it's the human nature to keep their little precious life until they have to give it up.
