Ⅸ.My benefit from reading this article
This is the first time for me to read article which is relationed to my own major. After reading the article carefully, I thie paper, I felt it is too hard to read for there are so many special words I haven't seen before. At English Writing course dear Prof. Guo teaches us how to write an academic paper accurately, idiomatically and appropriately. This paper is just like the example of our course. It uses words formal and accurate, avoids contraction and expresses tentatively. The paragraphs obey a logical order which proposes problems and solves it. Last but not the least I learn some useful Specified English words in my major.
Through reading many times, I understood it step by step and built up my confidence. From this paper, I get the information about the structure, style, and important terms of an academic paper. Most of papers contains abstract, introduction, preliminaries, main results, conclusions and future works, references. This paper makes me to know how to organize a paper.
To write a good paper, from the perspective of composition, reading some important papers is helpful. In the study afterwards, I think I will read many English papers. So this time, it builds up a good foundation. The greatest benefit I think is how to arrange the information and express it proper. There are still many other benefits I don’t list. The training offer me a jumping-off point which is very important.
