昨天，红花查看Email邮箱，收到“狗姐妹”Vickie于10月9日写给我的一封信。读着这封简短的来信，令我不禁想念远在加州的桑尼维尔小屋，我每天上学的两个孩子，还有可爱调皮的小憨豆。真没想到，时间过得好快，我已经回来中国有一个多月了，转眼就要到回去的时候。忘记告诉大家，我家的憨豆和Vickied家的Hazel是两小无猜的小男女朋友，Vickie的短信里，字里行间流露着Hazel想念憨豆的可爱感情。

 

   Vickie来信是这样写的：

 

Hello from California

 

Hi Tina,

 

How are you?  I trust that you are enjoying yourself.  I have finally met your husband.  He gave me the link to your blog.  So, I was able to read about your trip in China.  I especially enjoyed the photos posted on your blog. 

 
Life is busy as usual here.  I haven't had much sleep lately, too much work ... nothing new ...  Hazel misses Teddy.    Every morning Hazel would sit in the park facing your house and waiting for Teddy and the orange ball to show up.  We have only seen Teddy a couple of times in the morning.  Until you come back, Hazel would have to continue her waiting.

 

We have started painting the new fence in our yard.  We are making slow progress.  Someday it will be done ...  Andrew had another surgery a week ago to remove the metal plate from his shoulder.  He will be completely well by Thanksgiving.  To my dislike, he is already planing to ride on his bicycle again. 

 

We had a heat wave in the past week.  Temperature was in the 90s.  The weather had finally cooled down a couple of days ago.  Daylight is getting shorter.  When I take Hazel to the park around 7am, it is still pretty dark.  I have to bring a flash light with me.

 

   Today, Michelle has a volleyball tournament, another day gone ...  This is the last tournament of the season (thank God).  I will finally have my weekend back after this week.

嗨，红花！

 

   你好吗？我相信你一定玩儿得好开心。我终于有幸见到了你家先生。他把你的博客地址给了我，所以，我才有机会读到关于你在中国旅行的文章。我特别喜欢看那些贴在博文上的图片。

 

   日子还是像平常一样忙碌。我还是睡眠不足。唉，太多的工作要做。。。没有什么新鲜事。。Hazel很想憨豆。每天早晨Hazel来到公园，她都会端坐在那里，面朝你家的方向，等待憨豆还有那只橘黄色的皮球出现。早晨遛狗，我们也只是遇见了憨豆几次而已，除非你赶快回家，否则Hazel只能这样持续地等待下去。

 

   我们已经开始油漆后院新做的栅栏。进度缓慢。总有一天会完工的。。呵呵。。Andrew 一个星期前又动了一次手术，主要是把钢板从肩膀里取出来，估计到感恩节期间就会痊愈了。我最不喜欢的事是，Andrew已经计划又要骑自行车运动了。

 

   上个星期我们这里有热浪，温度达到了华氏90°。几天以前，天气终于渐渐转凉。白天越来越短。当我早晨7点钟带着Hazel去公园的时候，天色仍然很黑，我不得不带上电筒。

 

   今天，Michelle学校有排球比赛，另一天又过去了，。。。这是这个赛季的最后一场比赛（感谢上帝！）过了这个星期，我终于可以有一个属于我自己的周末了。

 

   小心照顾好自己，享受好你的中国之行。希望不久就可以看见你。呵呵，欣赏一下我随信寄给你的照片。

呵呵，我想憨豆了！
