206. summit   n. 顶点,最高阶层   top

summit指“顶点”、“最高处”、“成就的顶峰”, 如:

We could see the summit of the mountain twenty miles away.

He often attended the talks at the summit. (最高级会谈)

He is now at the summit of his career.

peak指“山中的最高峰”、“山顶”, 还可指“程度、数量、物体等的尖端”, 如:

The mountain peak was covered with snow.

226. ultimate   adj.  最终的,最后的

    Late hours can undermine one's health.
