诗集《花动摇》出来了

序:胡子·气血·诗

                                                      

兴中最让我不可忘却的有两件东西:胡子与诗歌。

胡子原本与诗歌无关。然而,胡子一旦长在诗人兴中的脸上,那情况就不同了。兴中年纪还不算大,却有一把美髯,迎风飘拂之际,十分的好看,令那些无髭之人和短须之辈惊羡不已!

记得几年前的一个春天,兴中邀请重庆市区的一群诗人到璧山的青龙湖游玩。我搭乘王顺彬的车去时,天已黑尽。兴中正同男朋女友们在一个农家院坝旺旺的柴火上烤羊肉,火星四溅,欢叫声不绝于耳。我第一眼看见他时,留下了这样深刻的印象:面庞通红,两眼炯炯有神,洋洋洒洒的长胡子,被映成金色,在星光的照耀下,毫无顾忌地任意飘散,宛如一部看得见的灿烂旋律,既威风,又多情。从此,我记住了兴中的胡子。

诗歌不是胡子,但透过兴中的胡子可以联想到诗歌。比如诗歌的形态、诗歌的质地、诗歌的色泽、诗歌的气息、诗歌的动感、诗歌的魅力……也就是说,通过对兴中胡子的静观默察、熟读涵咏、粗揣细想,虽不渐渍汪洋,也能给人以清溪峭流,大获快感。

兴中浓浓郁郁的胡子,使我领略到了他诗歌中蓬蓬勃勃的意境。唐王昌龄首创“意境”称谓,意境通常用来指诗歌在艺术美的创作上所达到的境界和审美效果。意境是诗歌的魂魄,惟有意充沛而境深邃方才能隐秀藏气。兴中诗歌的意境是开阔的,如晴空,如大海,如平原,能够打开视野,畅快胸襟。它不同于那些意境狭隘、蜷缩、拘谨而往来受阻、东瞻西顾,无所适从的诗作。兴中在《献给你:激流》一诗中写到:“激流奋斗一生,也没有抱住一朵浪花”,领会精准,堪当格言。其意境开荡、亢奋、悲壮,辐射出惋惜的忧伤。在一阵沉思之后,他接着写出:“山靠不住,许诺靠不住,山盟海誓也靠不住/如果芳香之间也有误解,可以肯定遐想也靠不住”。痛定思痛,顿时悟出了“太阳和月亮是用不旧的,他们互相掩护/且有巨大的背景”。写得手腕迅疾,笔墨平静,语气深沉,恰似灵丹一粒,点石成金,给人不少道理。他的《长江三日》,意境也显得浩荡澎湃,百涡千旋,在“白日梦中”、“在长短中,在落日与波浪中,修改着三峡的病句”,即便两岸“野花开得吱吱地响,我的奔赴,无法挽留鸟语的飘荡”。多么奇诡的想象,多么难以沉没的忧思。其他如《废园之诗》、《上金剑山记》等,也属异曲同工,意新语妙、思与境谐、情景相融的上乘之作。

兴中硬硬朗朗的胡子,也使我看见了他磊磊落落的诗歌个性。诗歌个性是诗人的标志,个性越彰显就越能“一枝独秀”。胡子受气血滋养,胡子越多越密越硬越黑越宽越长的人,大多是体健之人、阳刚之人、侠义之人。兴中也不例外,他的诗歌精气神十足,洋溢出雄浑、超拔、健举且暗藏缱绻温柔的个性风格。他的《在小镇》,个性特征表现在清醒的思虑和独特的语言功底上:“必须热爱简单的生活”、“学会抽空挖掘内心生锈的激情”、“如果喝高了,被冲动/可以打开身体内的旧钢琴”、“在小镇,需要起伏对称的翅膀/但必须剪掉长发,删除二奶”。一个被传统控制得相当得体的小镇,必须有同它一样被控制得不敢越雷池半步,并且情感平衡得毫无差池的小镇人物。悲乎?喜乎?生活其中的兴中,有了自束和忍耐,这也许是他对小镇这片故土的朝拜、热爱和鞠躬。但我想,他的精神中一定有新的冲撞和骚动。《冷抒情》也是一首个性十足的小诗:“菊花满山/秋还春贷款/利息扣下,存在香里面”。意象新奇,余味无穷,让人领受到语言的欢乐。兴中不仅把个性烙印铭刻在骨质里,也将它打在了他人身上。

兴中胡子的飘逸起伏自然而然,使我感觉到了诗歌的优美旋律。诗歌的旋律要有博跳,要有疾缓,要有迭宕,最终产生出和谐的风致。可以他的《暗香》为例:“下午说暗香很喜剧,尤其针对问路上山的人/说暗香这个词,发音也很喜剧/这个问路上山的人,他说已失恋三次/并曾三次看见梅花,一次看见/梅花开,一次看见梅花落,中间一次/看见梅花,他想到,但没有说出/暗香这个词,发音也很喜剧……”诗中反复提及下午、梅花、暗香、喜剧这四个词语,旋律回环往复,音韵前后照应,情感线的节奏向前成波浪状推进,使夹在其间的问路上山的人三次说及梅花的细节,层层递进,步步展开,如绕丝,如剥笋,静静地突出了暗香的神秘性,悄悄地让人一咏三叹。壳破鸟飞,活脱脱兴中睿智头脑和戏谑情态!

胡子不代表什么主义,也不证明什么立场。但千真万确,胡子长在兴中脸上就百分之百的富有诗意。张大千的胡子同齐白石的胡子一脉相承,肖伯纳的胡子同泰戈尔的胡子交相辉映。兴中为胡子长歌短吟,胡子给兴中带来了乐趣。一个质朴的小镇诗人,一个高明的用言辞作色彩的乡土画家,他的诗歌竟是那么的大气开朗、简洁有力、语调诙谐,竟是那么的不陈腐、不拘谨、不浅薄,使浮生之风人格化,使灵魂不再出现空白和断档,所幸他没有辜负文字的一脉锦绣和胸中的两行热泪!

我不知道天空长不长胡子,也不知道大海长不长胡子。但我希望那只高翔的鹰,一定要长出兴中一样的胡子来。如此,随风盘旋、鸣啸、飘舞,将是多么的惬意,多么的好看。

Preface: Beard, Blood and Poetry

                       

Two things which I can not forget the most about Xingzhao are: beard and poetry.

The beard has nothing to do with poetry. However, once the long- beard on the cheeks of poet Xingzhong, then the situation is different. He is still young but has a beautiful long beard. It is very nice flowing in the wind so that people who do not have a beard or have short beard amaze it very much!

In the spring a few years ago I remember that he invited a group of poets in the urban area of ​​Chongqing to visit QingLongHu of Bishan County. When I thumbed a lift in Wang Shunbin’s car arriving there it was dark. Xingzhong was roasting a lamb on strong fire of firewood in the yard of a farmhouse with his female friends and male friends, sparks flying, joyous sounds echoing in the ear.  When I first saw him, he gave me such a deep impression: his face flushed, eyes gleaming, eloquent long beard mapped into a golden color, shining under the stars, drifting natural, like a piece of visible brilliant melodies both powerful and sentimental. Since then, I remembered his beard.

The poetry is not the beard, but we can associate the beard with the poetry by Xingzhong’s beard. For example, in poetry’s form, poetry’s texture, poetry’s color, poetry’s breath, poetry’s dynamic, poetry’s charm...that is to say, by silent watching, reading and chanting again and again, weighing and considering of Xingzhong’s beard, we can not soak in the vast sea but we can see the creeks flowing which give us great pleasure.

From Xingzhong’s thick luxuriant beard, I appreciate the thriving artistic conception in his poetry. Wang Changling first originated the term “artistic conception”, which is generally used to refer to what kind of creative realm and aesthetic effect on the art of poetry are. Artistic conception is the soul of poetry and only the intention is abundant and profound can it hide its elegance and fine fresh air. In Xingzhong’s poetry, the artistic conception is open, such as the sky, the sea, the plain, which can open one’s horizon and be carefree one’s mind. His poetry is different from those narrow, curled, stiff and blocked, the East looking to West, and the lost poetry.

In his poem “Dedicated to You: the Torrent” he wrote: “the torrent struggles in its lifetime but fails to hold a spray”, which can be called a worthy motto for his exact understanding. In its swing and open, excited and tragic mood, it radiates regret sadness. After a moment of contemplation, he went on to write: “The mountain unreliable, promises untrustworthy, vows either unreliable/ If there are the misunderstandings between aromas, the reverie is sure either unreliable”. In his bitter experience he suddenly realized “The sun and the moon covering each other, they are not old/ There is a huge background devouring all human’s sin undigested”. It is written in swift wrist, ink calm, deep tone, like a panacea, Midas Touch, which can give us a lot of sense. His “Three Days on Yangtze River”, its mood also seemed mighty surging with hundreds and thousands of sea vortex spinning “In daydreams”; “In short and long, in sunset and waves, wrong sentences of Small Three Gorges I modified”, even if the two sides "Wildflower blooming in squeaky sound while my rush was unable to retain the fluttering birds’ songs”. What a strange imagination, what a difficult sank sorrow and gifts it is. Others such as “A Poem to the Abandoned Garden”, “Up to Golden Sword Mountain”, and so on, also are similar to above poems, in new language with wonderful meaning, thinking in environmental harmony, and the blending scene for a superior. 

Xing Zhong’s hard and dense beard also makes me see his poetry’s open and upright personality. The Poetry’s personality is the signs of the poet’s personality so the more it is personalized, the more it is “thriving”. Because the beard is nourished by the blood of a person, a person with more, dense, harder, darker, wider and longer beard is mostly a healthy person, masculine person and chivalrous person. He is no exception, for his poetry is vigorous in high spirits, and its gentle personal style is, forceful, transcendent and healthy, deeply hidden. In his poem “In the Small Town”, its personality reflects in his sober minds and unique language skills: “You must love the simple life”, “You must learn to find time to dig your inside passion rusty”, “If you got drunk being impulsive / You can open an old piano in your body”, “In the small town, you need to up and down your symmetrical wings / But you must cut your hair down and delete your mistress.” A small town is in this quite decent traditional control, so there must be the small town’s people who dare not deviate the control, and balance their emotion with no mistakes. Sadness or happiness? In Xingzhong’s life, there are his own self- constriction and patience perhaps they are his worship, his love and his bow to the small town, a piece of his homeland. But I think he must have the new collision and commotion in his spirit. “The Cold lyric” is also a short verse full of personality: “Daisies are full of mountains /the autumn repays the spring’s loans / the deducted interest is stored inside their incense.” Its imagery is novel with an endless aftertaste which shows us the language joy. Xingzhong not only has etched his personality imprint into his bone but also has hit it to the others.

Xingzhong’s beard flows naturally up and down, so it makes me feel the poetry’s beautiful melodies. In poetry’s melodies, there must have the jump, have the speedy or slow peace, have twisting, and then eventually produce its harmonious charm and wit. To take his “The Subtle Fragrance” for example: “It is a comedy to say it in the afternoon, especially to someone asked his way to the mountain/ To say the word, the subtle fragrance, its pronunciation is also a comedy/The man asked the mountain way, he said he was disappointed in love for three times/ And he had seen plum blossom three times, once seen/ Plum flower open, once seen plum flower off, the middle one/ Seen plum blossom, he thought he would say, but did not say/ The word, the subtle fragrance, its pronunciation is also a comedy…” in the poem, the four words and expressions, in the afternoon, plum, fragrance and comedy, are repeatedly mentioned. Their melodies loop back and forth, their rhythm takes care of phonology back and forth, their emotional rhythm is forward as a wavy line, and the man asked his way to the mountain there said plum three times in detail. The poem is developed gradually in form of layers and unfolded gradually, such as winding filament, peeling bamboo shoots, which quietly highlights the mystery of the subtle fragrance and quietly makes people chant three times with a high praise. The shell broken, the bird flies away, which looks just like Xingzhong’s wise mind and teasing mood! 

The beard does neither mean any doctrine, nor prove any stand. But to be true, long beard on his cheeks, it is poetic on one hundred percent. Zhang Daqian’s beard has same strain with the beard of Qi Baishi, and George Bernard Shaw and Tagore’s beard add radiance and beauty to each other. Xingzhong chants short or long song which gives him fun for his beard. As a rustic town poet, a native painter good at using of color words, his poetry was actually so cheerful open, concise, in witty tone, and it's actually not trite, not stiff, not shallow so that it makes his floating life to be personified and his soul appears blank and interrupted no longer, and fortunately he doesn’t let two lines of beautiful words and hot tears in his chest down!

I don’t know whether the sky grows a long beard, and I either don’t know whether the sea grows a long beard. But I hope that the towering eagle must be grown the same beard as Xingzhong. So with the wind circling, singing, flying, how comfortable and nice it would be.
