自来到上海，杨被” Campaign Brief Asia” 称为带动中国创意的顶级创意总监之一。同时他也被业内著名的美国创意杂志‘Creativity’评为亚洲创意明星之一。 杨也经常受邀作为评委参与区域内各种创意以及实效广告奖项的评选。
在此之前，杨曾是Fallon广告公司的创始合伙人及创意总监，从2002年开始负责经营其新加坡和香港公司。公司服务的区域客户包括美联航, 花旗银行, 时代周刊, 嘉士伯啤酒和大众汽车等。 这家公司在前三年内就赢得了 OneShow, D&AD, Cannes, Adfest, Media Spikes Awards等等诸多奖项，在创意领域备受瞩目。
杨于1991年开始他的广告生涯，并先后工作于 Saatchi & Saatchi,O&M。 1996年年底 ,以创意闻名业界的BBH广告公司开创其首家亚太区域办公室 ，杨被聘为资深美术指导服务 Levi’s 等客户，并于1999年调任BBH伦敦公司。
在进入广告业之前，杨在新加坡军队服役并任职工程兵指挥官。在军旅生涯中，他获得过最佳射击手，最佳指挥官，以及 “ Sword winner” 等诸多殊荣。
Yang started with TBWA\China 1st April 2006. Based in the Shanghai office, he leads the creative department working across all roster brands.
Since moving to Shanghai, ‘Campaign Brief Asia’ named Yang as one of the top Creative Directors that’s shaping the creativity in China. He was also selected by a leading US creative magazine ‘Creativity’ as one of the advertising stars in Asia. Yang constantly features in various Creative and Effectiveness Award judging panels from around the region.
Yang was formerly Fallon Asia‘s founding managing partner/creative director, running both the Singapore and Hong Kong offices since 2002. The agency picked up regional clients included United Airlines, Citibank, TIME Magazine, Carlsberg, and Volkswagen. They also raised eyebrows in various creative circles by winning at OneShow, D&AD, Cannes, Adfest, and Media Spikes Awards, all within the first 3 years of operation.
Yang began his advertising career in 1991 with Saatchi & Saatchi and later moved to O&M. He was hired as senior art director working on Levi’s when BBH opened its Asian Pacific office in late 1996. Yang was transferred to BBH London in 1999.
Yang’s other passion is architecture. The award-winning house he built in Singapore was discussed at forums and featured in leading architectural magazines in the UK, US, and Asia pacific.
Before advertising, Yang served in the Singapore Army as Company Commander of a Combat Engineers unit. Awarded Best Marksman, Best in Section Leader Course, and a Sword winner in the Military Officers Course.
