Being a Homemaker

Hope everyone had a great Chinese New Years and Valentine’s Day!  I spent CNY with my friend's family...played Mahjong, Cantonese style...and cooking...yes, me cooking...I actually love to cook, something even my friends find it hard to believe, until they see it and taste it...  I'm actually not bad of a cook ...I guess it must be a little hereditary.  My grandfather and dad are form Sichuan and they both cook really well, so I somehow have a knack for it...

Anyways, cooked Taiwanese "Cao Mi Fen", made my vesion of a  few new salad creations like scallop pomelo salad, stewed a lovely broth for hotpot,  also I made dessert like rice krispies but added different nuts and white chocolate chips...and brownies...and cookies...well needless to say, I'm fat once more!!!  Gained 2 kgs...it's so painful to lose especially when the years tack on but at the moment of eating it seems so worth it...

I cooked from New years, through Valentine's, and my b-day as well....it made me realize that I am looking forward to being a homemaker down the road...   Now just gotta wait for someone to propose...

So, would love to hear any interesting new years story if anyone wants to share...

I attached a photo of hotpot day as requested...it was only taken cuz one of the guests didn't show up so wanted to show her...u can see I made a salad, it was with apple and avocado...pretty yummy...as for CNY,  I was slavin' away in the kitchen so unfortunately no proof...haha...next time

    希望每位朋友都度过了一个快乐精彩的春节和情人节！我的春节与朋友一家一起度过，玩广式麻将...做饭…别不相信哦，那是我的厨艺…我真的很喜欢下厨，以至于我朋友吃到嘴里都不敢相信... 我的厨艺真的很不错...这多少有些遗传。我的祖父母都是四川人，他们都很会做菜，所以我可能得到了他们的秘诀…

      另外，他们还按照我的提议做了台式"Cao Mi Fen"，即用一些新式的像扇贝似的蜜柚沙拉与牛肉、羊肉、土豆等一起做了火锅…我还做了甜点，像米糕但加了不同种类的坚果和白巧克力薯条...核桃仁巧克力饼...还有饼干...真是说也说不完，我又胖了！！！长了2公斤...要知道减掉它们得是件多痛苦的事呀，可想想享受美味的时刻，又觉得值了...

我从春节第一天开始做饭，经过情人节，直到返程，终于体验了一次当主妇的感觉... 现在就只有期待了...
