abide abide by sth act in accordancewith sth; be faithful to sth 遵守某事物；忠于某事物：abide by a promise 遵守诺言【例】You'll have to abide by the referee's decision.你得遵从裁判的决定.尤其大家需要注意的是abide 这个词的本身意思是容忍，忍受，忍耐的意思．如：I can't abide that man 我对那个人忍无可忍．  

acquaint sb with sth 告知，使知道 be acquainted with 结识 I am already acquainted with the facts. 我已经知道那些事实。 

account be of no account/be of some account 不重要的、重要的 Is it true that the American intellectual is rejected and considered of no account in this society?被认为是不重要的。

take into account：考虑到：Urban planners actually have to take into account many interest groups in society.
