From Anderson's Town, Belfast, Meabh O'Hare was awarded TG4 Young Musician of the Year 2000, an award which was richly deserved for this outstanding young fiddle player. With a strong bias for the fiddle music of Donegal, Meabh has become one of the most prominent fiddle players in Ireland.

这本《吉他民歌独奏曲》是目前国内唯一 一本凯尔特风格的吉他教材，这本书由美国著名吉他与口琴演奏家格伦·维撒（Glenn Weiser）所著，囊括36首经典的凯尔特小提琴曲，包含里尔、吉格、角笛舞、air(一种缓慢而有很强旋律性的形式， 具有吟咏的特征)和march(强调鼓点效果，一般作为行军伴奏)等风格。作者把它们改编为吉他独奏曲，每首曲子用标准的五线谱和六线谱记谱。为了让大家更系统地了解凯尔特音乐，在本书附录中我们为大家补充了凯尔特民歌的有关知识，希望大家从中得到更大的收获。
