In this workshop, you will learn some of the main reflexes which help the baby to survive and to make the first experiences with movement. These reflexes prepare for the complex movements which are governed by the higher parts of the brain. The reflexes will be described in connection to the motor development in early childhood.
You will learn a special muscle testing procedure for each reflex. First, you will check the extend to which the reflexes are experienced as a child and if there are any challenges. Then you will check whether the experiences from the reflex movements are connected to other experiences in the brain and if the reflex movement is integrated in low gear.
You will learn that human beings need all this to build up our competence as adults.
Developmental Kinesiology gives us the opportunity to help the body to integrate the reflexes. Skills such as Edu-K, special movements similar to the reflexes and play are being used.
The information about the reflexes is a good background for Visioncircles and systems repatterning.
What you will learn and experience in this course
1. Theory
· What are reflexes and reactions?
Why are they so essential for our development, emotions, posture, movement, behaviour
The importance of a self-directed birth, pregnancy, childhood Development
Human Beings are Carry-abouts
The importance of experiencing the reflexes as a basis for your whole life
The importance of the primary reflexes for birth, the first survival and the getting upright
The importance for learning, success and competence
2. Experiencing the reflexes in their own body, noticing them with others and everyday life
3. Experiencing and discovering own emotional and behavioral programs connected to the reflexes , experience personal growth.
4. The importance of movement, play, walking being on the floor, being for oneself, being together with children, adults, young and old people
5. The different groups of reflexes and their meaning.
