Introduction Paragraph

EG:

With the rapid development of society leading to the increase of mental stress, there is a huge growth of concern among the general public about the issue of whether friendship will be affected by financial disparity. It is held by a small group of people that the difference in income means disadvantage in life, while there is an agreement among most people that friendship remains unchangeable no matter how striking the economic difference seems. What have we learned from the past experience? I believe that the love of friends shall never be diminished by ‘financial inequality’.

Supporting Paragraph

EG:(reasoning)

Money is a kind of bill of exchange by which people purchase life necessities that can satisfy our everyday needs and even luxuries that can fulfill our unique desires. Therefore, excessive emphasis on money makes us become indifferent ones who only calculate financial interests instead of considering subtle feelings such as joys and sorrows without which our lives are occupied by vanity.

EG:(exemplification)

It is not an appropriate decision to introduce the concept of central business district into rural area without comprehensive consideration. For example, in one small town near the city where I am living, a similar project was put into action to turn it into an economic and financial center. A foreign design company was hired to be responsible for the blueprint of new streets and buildings. The result of this project is a town with innovatively designed building and traditional cottages. Most town folks expressed their appreciation of the exotic buildings. However, what they really thought is that they lost their cultural heritage since their town had been deprived of its characteristic rural sceneries. What is more disappointing, these buildings are not so helpful to the growth of local economy.

Better service will be provided if staffs in public service sectors are encouraged to use Mandarin instead of dialects. For example, in one small town near the city where I am living, a similar project was put into action to turn it into an economic and financial center. A language training company was hired to be responsible for the courses of Mandarin and its promotion. The result of this project is a city where employees in public service sectors speak Mandarin yet customers still speak their traditional dialects. Most town folks expressed their confusion about the efforts of the government. However, what they did not know is that people from other parts of the country found it easier to communicate with the local and were thus more willing to live and work here.

Armstrong is one of the best examples that show how our decisions and choices formed our destiny. He is an American astronaut, and he was the first person to step on the moon. Entering space was his dream for which he made difficult decisions and therefore great efforts. In middle school, he dreamed of entering space one day. After that, he entered college and started learning relevant knowledge. Several years later, he was enrolled in the space project. In the end, he got a chance to become one of the initial team that was assigned the task of exploring the moon. During those years, he successfully landed on the moon and wrote the history by his own hands. Obviously, it is his ambition that finally led to his achievement. In general, dreams, together with the decisions and efforts that are made to realize them, shape our lives in a way that is revealed as ambition.

EG:(contrast)

Cities are better places for a central business district look. They are already symbols of modern technology. Therefore, it would not be surprising at all to see a project of    futuristic buildings carried out here. Rural areas, in contrast, are traditionally used for agriculture. It would require a long time a large fund to make them suitable for business. That is why futuristic buildings seem to be too bold to fit in with them.

EG:(assumption)

If employees in public service sectors use dialects to provide service, they will have to deal with an inevitable problem. It seems that they may not be able to use all different dialects.

If a town in a less-developed area adopts futuristic buildings to promote economy, it will have to deal with an inevitable problem, that is, it may be not able to retain all its cultural characteristics.

Conclusion Paragraph

EG:

The hasty introduction of futuristic buildings into rural areas may not have the expected impacts on the local economy. It sounds more reasonable if the local government would agree to postpone the project and set as their priorities the plans of long-term development of these areas. The concept of central business district should not be applied without careful examination of the necessary conditions, and the traditional cultural heritage should be stressed during the development of rural areas.
