还有几天就是苗苗一周岁的生日了，为了给弟弟送上一份独特的生日礼物，果果从上个月就开始精心准备，写了一份洋洋洒洒的苗苗周岁回顾！亲妈我看了都很感动，相信若干年以后，苗苗能看懂哥哥这篇文章的时候，一定会感觉自己是世界上最幸福的弟弟之一。。。。（英文部分全都是果果亲笔书写草稿，然后亲手在电脑上打出，中文部分是电脑翻译，果妈校对！）

 

                          Edison’s first year !

 

My baby brother Edison is pretty intelligent and laughful (for most babies). Edison was born in August 13, 2011. He came out pretty healthy and small (should I say tiny?), but he grew a lot (mostly in height) during the Year.

我的弟弟苗苗是很聪明的，爱笑的（对于大多数婴儿）。苗苗出生于2011年8月13日。他生出来时候很健康和小（我应该说袖珍？），但在这一年，他长大了很多（主要是在身高）！

 

 

Unfortunately, in September, my baby brother got an urinary tract infection. First, he got fever. then, Mom and Dad took him to the hospital while Grandpa (on my father’s side) and I stayed home.

 

不幸的是，在九月，我的弟弟得了尿路感染。首先，他发烧了。然后，爸爸妈妈带他去医院住院，爷爷和我呆在家里。

 

 

Well I mean we sometimes visited. After a week， Edison was recovered and back to home from The Seattle Chirdren's Hospital! Yeah!!!

当然我们有时会去看他。一个星期后，苗苗康复了，从西雅图儿童医院回到家里！耶！！

 

 

Edison starts to love picture cards in October. There were all kinds of cards. Big cards with dots on them, small cards with pandas on them, and you name it.

 

在十月份，苗苗开始爱认图片卡，他有各类卡。圆点大卡，熊猫小卡，还有你想到的各种卡。。。。。

 

 

 

For his first haircut, Mom used a specially designed trimmer made for babies.I think his new hair style looks soooooo cool!It was much better than mine!

 

他的第一次理发，妈妈用了一种特制婴儿理发器。我认为他的新发型很酷的！比我的更好！

 

 

November is Beginning to Laugh and Smile Month! This month, Edison does the truly thing: Smiling and Laughing! Plus, he learned how to roll over so he is EXITING on his tummy, but he couldn’t roll back. VERY FUNNY!

 十一月份，是他的笑月！这个月，爱迪生做的正事儿就是：微笑和大笑！另外，他学会了如何翻身，所以他很兴奋翻过去，但他不能翻回来。非常有趣的！

 

Finally…… it is December! I think he did not learn anything during this wintry winter. But, we had snow and Christmas. On Christmas, Mom took a googolplex pictures. She actually dressed up Edison up as Santa!

最后终于等到了是十二月！我认为他没学到什么东西在这寒冷的冬天。但是，我们下了雪，过了圣诞节。在圣诞节，妈妈拍了无数的照片。她真的把苗苗打扮得像圣诞老人一样！

 

In the first month of 2012, the good thing was:Edison had his first Chinese New Year !The bad thing was:The hugest blackout I have ever recorded in my entire life! For the blackout or the power outage, it went from morning to midnight. It was TERRIBLE. Edison had to sit close to the fireplace for all his activities. I hope another one of these do not come in my way.

 

在2012的第一个月，喜事是：苗苗过了他的第一个中国春节！倒霉的事情是：我经历了人生中最大的停电！停电一直从从早晨持续到午夜，非常可怕。苗苗不得不靠近壁炉进行所有活动。我希望再也不要发生这样的事情了！

 

My baby brother learned to suck his toes when he was half a year old! I think he might love pig feet like I do.

 

我的小弟弟学会了吮他的脚趾当他半岁的时候！我想他可能将来也会像我一样爱啃猪脚！

 

 

 

 

Spring is finally here! He sat for a recorded 5 minutes watching Dance Star Mickey in March!

 

春天终于来了！他创纪录地坐在那里看舞蹈明星米奇跳舞看了五分钟！

 

 

 

In April, his teeth finally comes into the world! Now he can eat normal baby food!

四月份，他的乳牙终于破土而出，现在他可以开始吃一般的婴儿食物了！

 

 

My other grandpa came in May and he saw my baby brother learn to crawl. He is so fast! If the Baby Olympics had a medal or a doubloon or something for the crawling contest, he can totally win it. 

 

五月，外公来了，他目睹了我的小弟弟是怎样学爬行的。他爬得太快了，如果宝宝奥运会有爬行比赛的话，我想他一定能拿金牌什么的！

 

 

June is my mom's birthday month! The present was Edison learning to hold onto things and stand up. Plus, he could crawl to the sofa, sit up, and stand.

 

6月是我妈妈的生日月，苗苗学会了扶着站起来，这算是给妈妈的生日礼物。他现在会爬到沙发旁边然后站起来了！

 

Well I first thought that I had allergies and passed it on to my baby brother. That's why he got HIGH FEVER! He was 102 degrees Fahrenheit, but finally, we found out that he got rose spot. he recovered in a few days. I was really happy that I was not the one who passed it on.

 最初，我以为我把过敏传染给了弟弟，所以他才发高烧。但是最后，我们发现他是出玫瑰疹，过了几天就自己痊愈了。我很高兴，他的病不是因为我而起！

 

 

 

Last month, he learns to walk along things that get him lots of good traction. I also learned that I have to keep an eye on my Kendama when it is on the sofa because he might get it.

 

上个月，他学会了扶着东西走路。我也学会必须看紧我沙发上的剑玉（啃大妈），因为他可能会够得到它。

 

 

This month*, he starts to cry a lot when he sleeps. But, he got trained, so he sleeps fine. He also took his first steps beside the garage!

 

这个月，他睡觉的过程中总是哭，后来他被训练了，现在睡觉不哭了！他还在车库外面迈出了他人生的第一步！

 

 

 

I love Edison by my heart. I am so glad that I have a cute little brother like him. Edison's 1st-year birthday is coming soon! I wish he has another good year like this in the future!

 

我从心底里爱苗苗！我很高兴我有一个像他这样可爱的小弟弟！苗苗的一岁生日马上就要来了，我希望他在接下来的这一年也能过得很美好！
