虽然一万个不情愿，我还是要继续跟休斯顿纠缠下去。

昨天上班，问了一圈，回程未成行的机票要申退，航空公司要求出具相关证明；公司财务报账，也要相关证明。对着手上那个police case number发了一会儿呆，我咬咬牙，决定像吃蛋糕一样，一口一口地把这一堆麻烦事消化掉。Google真是个好东西，我发现自己越来越离不开它了。估狗到休斯顿的一个政府网站，我又顺着摸进了警察局的网页，终于看到可以提供类似报告的信息，给他们发了个邮件。因为时差，第二天，也就是今天才收到了回音。懒得翻译，干脆拷贝一下。5/8/07

This e-mail is being sent to confirm receipt of your Public Information request and to ask for clarification.  Are you seeking the entire report or the public release portion of the offense report?  Typically unless a report is closed by a conviction, only the public release portion of the report is given.  Should you need to obtain the entire report, you can request the full report, but please be aware that the department will have to seek an opinion from the Texas Attorney General regarding your request.  If that is the case, you will be copied on any correspondence; therefore, please provide a return mailing address.

Please be aware that there are set fees for paper documentation, VHS, Audio Cartridge, personnel charges, etc..  A standard size sheet of paper will cost $0.10 USD each page.  If the records requested is a large amount of materials (exceeding 50 pages), then personnel and overhead charges will be added to the cost.  We are unable to fax or e-mail responsive information.  Unless the information is picked up, typically we send out the information by U. S. Mail.  However, there are times we receive a prepaid envelope to send the responsive documents/materials to the requestor.  This allows the requestor to pay the postage on their existing account with the carrier service.

老美的较真实在让我厌烦。为了省事，打算托那边公司的人帮我看看能否直接去警局取回报告。进展看明天。

另一件事。去之前在国外一家类似咱们携程的网站上订了房并预付了订金，说好是从房费里扣除的，结果在休斯顿结账时旅馆不认帐了，只好付了钱，等回来再慢慢算帐。这下可好，我所有的旅馆账单也丢了。发了邮件去这网站兴师问罪，他们态度倒是端正，答应帮我调查，可又要求我出具住宿相关的发票收据等。还是Google帮忙，让我找着了这家旅馆的电话和传真。简单写了来龙去脉传真过去，又打电话去问，那边倒是很爽快，答应明天帮我传真过来。又是明天，希望都能顺利。

国内部分，补办的工作卡明天就能取了，挂失的储蓄卡7天后也可以补办了，北京住宿的发票那边答应帮我复印带回，虽然还没动静。还有，身份证补办也没大问题。。。

当一个社会人，真真不简单哪。。。
