说心里话，我喜欢这样的试题。
1、这份试题首先说明了试题的能力要求：WRITING TO INFORM, EXPLAIN OR DESCRIBE 这是对考生的尊重，更是对试题命制者的要求，也是试题命制者的一种胆识：我敢说我这个题考得就是这个能力！
这是我多次给教育部考试中心提交咨询报告的内容：高考试题应有明确的能力说明。而实际上我并不清楚，我们是否有清晰的能力标准。
2、有充分的选择性。4个写作题给学生选择，而且四个题差异很大，从information leaflet for parents，letter to the Chair of the Governors of your school 到formal letter to the Prime Minister，能够保证不同的学生都可以完成，而且在评卷时保证试题的等值。
3、内容的教育性，从formal letter to the Prime Minister，the most important things in education up to the age of sixteen到the most important issues the government needs to deal with，非常有价值。
4、在考生的试题具有明确的提示，既有总提示 checking: your paragraphing your punctuation your spelling，每个小题后又有单独提示。
当然，任何考试都有不足，但这份试题比我们的高考试题的质量高出不只一个层次。
