2007年8月17日~20日，这四天对北京市民来说是一段特别的日子——有私家车的人要按照车牌的单双号，隔天出行。
“怎一个‘爽’字了得！”很多人这样总结自己4天中的感受。
 不过，“爽”了4天之后，人们不得不再次面对汹涌的车流，于是有网友建议：“既然单双号限行的办法这么好，干脆我们就把它彻底发扬光大，坚持下去得了！”
上周，中国青年报社会调查中心与某网站联合开展了一项调查，这项有2968名北京市民参与的调查显示，在“单双号限行是否应该成为常态”这个问题上，有车者和无车者态度迥异：没车的受访者中78.2％的人赞同长期继续下去，有车族则有61.9％的人对此表示明确反对。
有很多参与者在留言中表示反对：“我工作单位离家20多公里，‘单双号限行’弄得我上夜班很不方便，晚上把车开出来，白天开不回去了。”“单双号限行时我上下班坐城铁，等几趟都上不去车，每趟都跟做压缩饼干一样，把里面的人硬压进去。”“长期弄这样的限行是对公民权利的侵犯，我自己花钱买的车，怎么能只给我一半的使用时间？”
“四天的‘单双号限行’如同昙花一现，带来了让人欣喜的效果，也给不少人带来了麻烦，但更重要的是，它带来了很多的思考。”一位参与调查者说，“道路不堵了心里是真舒服，生活效率提高了一大截儿，汽车尾气少了，空气也真清爽了。不过要达到这个效果，可不止‘单双号限行’这一个粗犷而霸道的法子。政府可以做的还有很多。”

“欧依扎日鸟夺？”如果你是车站服务人员，乘客这么问你，你听得懂吗？这是温州话“下一站到哪里”的谐音。前不久，上海轨道交通3号线上海火车站站公开征集闽南话、广东话、温州话、武汉话和长沙话等5种方言的服务用语，期望提供“方言服务”。
据介绍，作为上海的交通门户，轨道交通3号线上海火车站站是南来北往客流最密集的地方，每天进出的乘客流量在30万人次以上，其中包括大量使用各地方言的外地乘客。在售票、导乘等各个服务环节中，语言障碍问题十分突出，工作人员在为那些乡音较重的外地乘客提供售票、咨询等服务时，一般都比较费时。
为了缓解这一问题，上海地铁运营公司上月底决定先向社会征集5种较难听懂且经常遇到的方言，并首先在上海轨道3号线上海火车站站试点。征集内容主要为车站内售票、咨询时的常用语，比如“几元钱”、“到火车站怎么走”、“到长途汽车站怎么走”、“换1号线怎么走”等。3号线上海火车站站的50多名服务员，都将学习征集到的方言，以后还将向上海南站站推广。公司方面希望会讲上述方言且口齿清晰的乘客，前往3号线上海火车站站找站长录音，择优采用，站长室还备有小礼品相送。
然而消息传出后，立即引起了有关方面的质疑。
上海市语言文字工作委员会办公室副主任朱蕾表示，在流动人口密集的场所使用方言，固然可以更好地服务各地往来人员，提高服务效率，但这种做法不利于推广普通话，有失偏颇。
有乘客认为，提供方言服务是更人性化的，它给乘客提供方便，更重要的是让外来乘客感到温暖。也有乘客对此项服务表示怀疑，认为几句不地道的方言不见得有什么帮助。
