1.wink at 对…使眼色；假装没看见，放过(缺点等)。（eg: Winking at students' unreasonable desires would only result in chaos in education.  Issue 51)
wink away [back] 眨掉(眼泪)。

give a wink 瞟了一眼。

7.鼓励
encourage; incite; embolden; hearten; flatter; pull for; foster; poke; firm; comfort; urge; a pat on the back; pat sb. on the back.: 热情鼓励 warmly encourage; 鼓励孩子学习 encourage a boy in his study; 从 ... 得到鼓励 take encouragement from ...; 货币贬值时, 就无法鼓励人们储蓄。 When money falls in value, there is no encouragement to save.

 

8.迁就
accommodate oneself to; yield to; give in to: 过于迁就 excessively accommodating; 无原则的迁就 unprincipled accommodation; 无原则的迁就对他有害。 Unprincipled accommodation will do harm to him. 对他的错误不能迁就。 We mustn't pass over his mistakes.

 

9.不断
