If a man possesses the mountain-like quality, he must be determined and unyielding.

If a woman has the water-like temperament, she must be tolerant, wise, gentle and kind.

If you have feelings for me, I will definitely give you a positive response.

It is a pity that there is always departure at anytime and anywhere. But as long as we exist, looking at each other will be another kind of love. I don’t confess because this feeling is too deep and strong. If you are too eager for a result, I must say that you break the tranquility of my sincere love for you. To the mountains and water, what I try to protect is a pool of peace and expectation. The lotuses bloom to the sky, dignified and beautiful, elegant and coquettish. I cannot bear your lowing your head for love.

Why should the sad zither have fifty strings? Each string, each strain evokes but vanished springs: Dim morning dream to be a butterfly; Amorous heart poured out in cuckoo’s cry. In moonlit pearls see tears in mermaid’s eyes; From sunburnt jade in Blue Field let smoke rise. Such feeling cannot be recalled again: It seemed lost even when it was felt then.

You are puzzled, and I won’t blame you, because you have never been to the Jiuru Mountain.

I have already been there, it is a place where mountain meets mountain and water meets water; it is a place where you can have a spiritual baptism. You should have at least one time a life to listen to the rustling of the waterfall and the whispering of the stream. As long as you build up a purity mind and remove the fickleness of your heart, nature will give you an answer of a real life.

We can hardly keep peace at most time for we are always apt to be obsessed with love, be hassled by languor, be bothered by life-long troubles, and we dwell on fate and fame, on our hauntingpast. We are deeply obsessed and cannot stop. We cannot get free from the tackles we set for ourselves and from the darkness. We have once lost. What has blinded our clear eyes?

I have a female friend who loves hiking. The most admirable quality of her is her persistence and independence. She is not far- fetched, not obsequious, not kitsch, and not stubborn. She has a good temperament both inside and outside.  She talks and laughs and can easily make friends with people. Moreover, unlike the other girls, she is not affected and narcissistic. What’s more she has a remarkable attitude towards life. All of this makes her adorable. She once told me that she was not like that in her previous years, but since she became infatuated with hiking, her character and structure had totally changed and she became open-minded and simple. She was no longer obsessed with something or somebody, and she made herself immersed in nature. She said that one cannot be anxious about every single thing in our life and everything goes in its own way.

What a natural philosophy of life!

It is the mountains that change the temperament of my friend and it is the water that improves herself. The nature can be changed by nature.

Confucius once returned from Mount Tai and wrote down the philosophy of life which says, “The wise love water and the benevolent love mountain; the wise are active and the benevolent are stationary; the wise are happy and the benevolent are longevous”. The benevolent ones, just like the mountain, are peaceful, steady and can hardly be shaken by external things. Confucius conveyed his philosophy of Golden Mean, Confucianism holds the idea that all creatures should live in harmony. As the product of nature, humans and nature should be one. We should always be respectful. It is both a cultivation and improvement to respect the old and love the young, reverence nature and protect the animals and guard our inner world. when the right time comes, everything will have an answer. Nature is the answer. Since I mention nature, I highly recommend you the Jiuru Mountain.

The Jiuru Mountain is rather mountainous. With cliff peaks and ridges and rugged stones, you have to admit that the whole mountain is a real magic of nature. It falls into deep valleys and uplifts into high cliffs. There are 36 mountains whose altitudes exceed 800 meters. The whole mountain is full of soul and is permeated with forest oxygen. Pure original ecology nurtures the valleys, peaks, forests and breeds mountain springs, streams, waterfalls and bottomless pools. These attractions are rather splendid. They weave beautiful natural landscape and finally create the renowned seventy-two springs in Jinan. If you climb up to Tianchi and visit the Pingwu pavilion, with vines intertwining all around and brook flows under your foot, you will find yourself standing on the clouds and immersed in the wonderland. This will make you be empty of self and integrate the beautiful nature. And the Jiuru Mountain features its waterfalls. The waterfalls pass through canyons and cascade down from Tianchi to the Winged Snake Pool, hanging dozens of hills and showing all sorts of poses. With rivers flowing, with snow pouring down and water vapor transpiring, the whole mountain meets water and beautiful sceneries spring up. The mountain either shouts and yells with vigor or attracts with grace and charm. The river flows and the wind blows, composing a melody; the brook springs out and waterfall crushes down, splashing pearly and jade water. The famous scenery is known as Nine Falls, which show inspiration, bring coziness and contribute to the touching view of waterfall group. And the ten-kilometer long wooden path along the cliff is unique. The most remarkable thing about these plank roads is that some of them are built along the cliffs like ladders; some cross over waterfalls like rainbows, and still some shuttle back and forth in the forests just like flying jade belts. This kind of plank roads are designed in a brand new way which subverts the traditional travel pattern whose aim lies only in sightseeing and it breaks the conventional setting that the visitors, landscape master and object correspond to and separate from each other. This new pattern makes travellers and attractions more close and gives visitors a chance to be immersed in the beautiful sceneries and integrate into nature, perceive nature and feel nature. The tenderness of water meets the statelessness of the mountains in Jiuru Mountain. The Jiuru Mountain is a paradise where mountains blend with rivers.

如水情怀，如山挚爱

如果一个男人，有山的品质，他一定具有坚毅不屈的个性；

如果一个女人，有水的质地，她一定有包容智慧、温柔善良的情怀。

你若有心，我何尝无心。你若有情，我何尝无情。

很遗憾，天地有别，有山水相间，彼此相望其实就是一种相爱。我不说破，是因为我爱的深沉，你若急于求果，很抱歉的告诉你，你打破了我对你一往情深的宁静，于山，于水，我守护的是一池的宁静与相望。莲，盛开即向天，端庄美丽，仪态万方。我不忍你低下昂贵的头，为爱，屈尊。

锦瑟无端五十弦，一旋一柱思华年，庄生晓梦迷蝴蝶，望帝春心托杜鹃，沧海明月珠有泪，蓝天日暖玉生烟，此情可待成追忆，只是当时已惘然。

你困惑，我不怪你，因为你没有去九如山。

我去了九如山，立地顿悟，山与山相连，水与水衔接。一生至少有一次听瀑，听流水潺潺。修心之洁净，祛肉体之浮躁。大自然会给你一个真实的答案。

很多时候，我们难以做到平静，为情困，为劳顿，为一世的纷扰，为功名利禄，为我们不能释怀的过去，我们不能自拔，乃至欲罢不能。我们走不出自己，走不出黑夜，我们一度迷失了方向。是什么蒙蔽了我们曾经清澈的双眼？

我有一位喜欢户外徒步的女性朋友，我最佩服的就是她的执着与独立的个性，不牵强，不附会，不媚俗，更不固执的自我。性格内外兼有，谈笑风生，容易与人打成一片，更没有女子一贯的矫情和自恋，人生的态度收敛自如，让人好生喜欢。她告诉我，原来的她，不是这个样子，自从迷恋上了户外和徒步，她的整个人的个性与结构全部改变了，人一夜之间变得豁达与简单了，不在纠结于某种事物某个人了，整个人完全溶于了自然中。她说，人生一切都不能求急，一切在顺其自然当中。

好一个水到渠成的人生哲理！

是山让这个朋友改变了性情，是水让这个朋友提升了自我。山水之怀，是可以改变一个人的秉性的。

孔子当年泰山归来，曾经写下“智者乐水，仁者乐山。智者动，仁者静。智者乐，仁者寿。”的人生哲理名句。仁爱之人像山一样平静，一样稳定，不为外在的事物所动摇。孔子讲的是中庸之道，在儒家看来，自然万物应该和谐共处。作为自然的产物，人和自然是一体的。我们内心要心存敬畏：长尊之辈，老幼之惜，敬畏自然，爱护动物，守护心灵之安慰，都是一种修身，也是一种养性。天时地利人和合一，归一成真，自然就是水到渠成的功解。谈到自然，我就会给你推荐九如山。

九如山群山连绵，峰峦层叠，俏石嶙峋，卓异多姿，跌落为深壑幽谷，隆起成高巅峭壁，其中海拔超过八百米的山峰就有三十六座之多，灵秀之气，贯穿上下，森林氧吧，弥漫四周。纯净的原始生态孕育了峡谷、奇峰、丛林，喷发出山泉、溪流、瀑布、深潭，云蒸霞蔚，交织出绚丽的自然景观，也造就了举世闻名的泉城七十二名泉。若能登上天池，依凭无亭，四面藤萝交织，脚下泉泻如练，身在飘渺云中，如临瑶池仙境，必能忘却自我，融入美丽的大自然。来到九如山，欣赏的就是瀑布群。高悬的瀑布穿过峡谷，层叠九落，从天池一直流泻到螣蛇潭，悬挂数十处，展示千百态。天河飞练，银雪倾泻，水汽蒸腾，其间山水相映，美景滋生。或以气势，呐喊呼啸，或以秀美，婀娜献媚。水动风移，送出弦外清音；泉涌瀑飞，溅起雾里珠玉。知名者号称九瀑，彰显的是灵动，送出的是畅快，构成的是沁人肺腑的群瀑风光。长十公里的实木栈道，举世无双。最令人赞叹的是这些栈道：有的沿绝壁山崖攀延而设，似天梯；有的横跨山涧飞瀑，似彩虹；有的在藤林中穿梭缠绕，似飞舞的玉带。这种栈道的设置方法颠覆了以单纯观景为目的、传统意义上的旅游模式，彻底打破了游客与景观主、客体之间，相对应又相分隔的传统的栈道设置的习惯。既拉近了游客与景观的距离，又让游客真正置身于美丽的景色之中，融于大自然、感知大自然、感悟大自然。
