我这辈子一直在和学生、老师打交道，当我看到有那么多学生在地震中死去的时候，心里感到无比的悲痛。今天，我特别为全中国的学生写一封信，悼念那些早逝的国家栋梁！

Remain Strong in the Face of Tragedy!

在灾难面前保持坚强！

        [1] I extend my deepest personal condolences to all victims of the earthquake and their families. My heart is especially saddened by the students who lost their lives in this tragedy. I truly consider students all over China to be part of my extended family and deeply mourn the loss of these young lives. Please know that all my thoughts, prayers and encouragement are with all the survivors.

      [1] 在这里我向所有地震的受害者及他们的家庭表示深深的慰问。那些死去的学生让我的心情更加沉重。我把全中国的学生都当成是我的家人，对他们的离去我感到无比心痛！我的思绪、祷告和鼓励永远伴随着那些幸存者。

       [2] I also strongly support Premier Wen Jiabao's call for calm, confidence, courage and efficient organization in the face of such a severe disaster.

      [2] 我强烈支持温家宝总理的号召：在重大危机的时刻，我们要镇定、充满信心、勇气和高效的组织。

       [3] Our love and support for one another during tragic times is what truly shows our patriotism and holds our nation together!

        [4] I have total faith in the strength and resilience of our great Chinese people!
